NASCAR Bass Pro Shops NRA Free Racing Picks & Expert Best Bets
A little Saturday Night action from the Last Great Coliseum in Bristol, Tennessee. NASCAR returns to one of the most iconic venues in the sport for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Three races remain before the NASCAR Playoffs begin at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Kevin Harvick carries momentum into this event after winning at Michigan. Kyle Busch was able to take the Checkered flag at Bristol back in April, as he has on many occasions in his career. Likewise defending winner of this event his older brother Kurt, has also had success at this track throughout his career. The Busch brothers seem to dominate when NASCAR is at Bristol. Is another Bristol win in the bag for either of these drivers or can Kyle Larson finally check off a win at a track he has performed well at every time he has raced there? Let’s dive into the NASCAR Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race Free Racing Picks for this Saturday.
Five Drivers to back in Bristol
Kyle Busch +250
The active wins leader at Bristol Motor Speedway returns seeking his 9th cup series win at the track. Kyle Busch is atop the odds list once again, and there are many reasons why. Let’s start off by saying he is an eight-time winner at Bristol Motor Speedway. That includes three of the last four races at the track. He was able to win the April event. He will have a long way to climb to return to victory lane rolling off 31st Saturday night, but that hasn’t stopped him before as his best start in his eight wins at the track was 1st in April 2018. His career numbers at this track make him a favorite in this one.
Kevin Harvick +700
Kevin Harvick has a lot of momentum from his win at Michigan last weekend, and he seems to be coming to life at the right time with two wins in the last few races. He has two career victories at Bristol, most recently in this event in 2016. He has seven top 10 finishes in the last eight Bristol events. He is coming off his worst finish at the track since 2015, back in April when he finished 13th. He has finished inside the top 10 in each of the last four Bristol Night Races. Kevin rolls off eighth on Saturday night.
Joey Logano +700
Joey Logano has found victory lane on two occasions in his career at Bristol Motor Speedway. Both of which came in the Bristol Night Race. In fact, he won back-to-back in 2014 and 2015. He also has finished inside the top five in each of the last two races at Bristol. Add in eight top 10 finishes in the last 10 Bristol events. He was able to lead 146 laps in April in route to a third-place finish. Logano has been winless since June, but will still be a contender on Saturday night, rolling off 11th.
Kyle Larson +800
Of all the tracks in NASCAR, Kyle Larson should have already claimed a checkered flag at Bristol by now. However, he has yet to reach victory lane at the track in his career. He finished runner-up in both Bristol races in 2018. Between the 2017 and 2018 Bristol races, Larson led a combined 489 laps. That included leading over 200 laps in two of those four races. Larson has six top 10 finishes in 11 starts at Bristol. His 19th place finish in April was disappointing, but he will roll off on the front row Saturday night and should have a good chance to get to the lead early on. His next step will be to find a way to not choke near the end of the race. Kyle has yet to win in 2019 and though he is safe in points, it wouldn’t hurt to notch a win before the playoffs begin.
Kurt Busch +2000
Kurt may be the older of the Busch brothers, but younger brother Kyle has won at Bristol eight times. But Kurt is well accomplished at Bristol himself. Not only is he the defending winner of this event, but he has taken his car to victory lane six times in his Cup series career at Bristol. Add his three top-five finishes in the last four Bristol races. That also includes a runner-up finish early this season to his brother Kyle. Like teammate Kyle Larson, Kurt Busch was able to qualify in the top four and will roll off fourth Saturday night. Kurt is a bit off a longshot at +2000 odds, but he is definitely a drive to watch at Bristol Motor Speedway.
