Pickswise NFL Pick’Em Pool Record: 11-4-1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Carolina Panthers
Two NFC South teams who both lost in Week 1 will face-off here as the Carolina Panthers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for Thursday Night Football. Tampa is coming off a 14-point loss to the 49ers in which Jameis Winston had one of the worst games of his career, while the Panthers lost narrowly to the Rams.
The line has moved way in favor of the Panthers with the Buccaneers getting a free touchdown to win the game. This is where it gets interesting with that line. According to Gilles Gallant of Oddshark Since Cam Newton took over as QB in 2011 the Panthers are 13-0 SU and 10-2-1 ATS at home when favored by 7 points or more. Start your week off with a huge win. – Panthers Win
Arizona Cardinals vs. Baltimore Ravens
Let’s make it short and sweet for this matchup pick’em. If you are one of the millions of NFL bettors who participate in the pick’em and Survivor pool picks, this is the pick for you. I’m rolling big with the Ravens in my survivor pool pick which only means this is a mortal lock for a pick-em. The Ravens are the pick here. – Ravens win.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins
Let’s be real here, the Dallas Cowboys are rolling with their new offensive coordinator and take on a Washington Redskins team that had trouble finishing the Eagles off. Case Keenum might be the answer for the Redskins, but he is not the answer to win this game – Cowboys win.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Andy Dalton nearly destroyed everyone’s pick’em picks with a huge upset win against the Seattle Seahawks. However, the Bengals come up short with still a huge and impressive effort on the road against the Seahawks. On the flip side, the 49ers come into this week with a win, but with gifts from Jamies Winston. There will be no gifts here as the 49ers will struggle against the Bengals. – Bengals win.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans
Everybody was impressed by the Indianapolis Colts and let me be the first to say they were no fluke. The Colts have been preparing without Andrew Luck since last season because of his injuries and they nearly took down a top AFC team on the road. Now they take on a Titans team that was gifted their win thanks to horrible turnovers from the Browns. Another upset pick here as the Colts take it – Colts win.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Seahawks barely got past the Cincinnati Bengals and now head onto the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. As for the Steelers, they got destroyed by the defending champs. Both teams looked off but gotta lean with the Steelers because Pittsburgh is 4-1 SU in their last 5 games when playing at home against Seattle. – Steelers Win.
Buffalo Bills vs. New York Giants
Looking back at the past 4 seasons, the Giants are 2-6 in their first two home games – 1-4 in their season opener. They looked awful against the Dallas Cowboys, and will not look any better against a Bills team that is finally favored and ready to win. – Bills win
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Detroit Lions
The Los Angeles Chargers head into Detroit ready to start the season 2-0 on Sunday off a comeback win against the Indianapolis Colts. For the Lions, they let go of a huge lead against the Arizona Cardinals and could never get back on track. This is one of the games that will make or break our pick’em week 2 result. The Chargers are still locked and loaded while the Lions struggled against a rookie quarterback. Take the veteran quarterback of Los Angeles and the Chargers win. – Chargers Win
Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers
Watch out here come the Packers. They are also one of the hottest teams in September as Green Bay is 12-3-1 SU in their last 16 games played in September as well as 8-3-1 SU in their last 12 games played in week 2. Pick- Packers win
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans
The worse possible scenario happened for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week One. Their hoped-for franchise quarterback Nick Foles underwent surgery Monday to repair a broken left collarbone, suffered in the first quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs. Now the Jaguars are now without Foles, as they take on the Houston Texans who have a giant chip on their shoulder after losing to the Saints in the worst way possible. Pick – Texans win
New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins
No need for anything special here. Patriots are the best team in the NFL, while the Dolphins are the worst. Don’t think about this game too much Pick – Patriots win.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders played arguably one of the most emotional games this past week as they took down the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. Now they take on the Kansas City Chiefs who are going to slowly welcome them back into the NFL. Chiefs win big, no issues here Pick – KC Chiefs Win
New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams
The New Orleans Saints had this game circled since when the schedules came out and they are ready to take down the LA Rams. There are going to be so many Saints fans on Sunday as they want to showcase to the NFL “they deserve to be heard about not going to the Super Bowl” Saints will do everything to win this game. Pick – Saints Win
Chicago Bears vs. Denver Broncos
For the Bears, they had a rough and tough game against the Green Bay Packers in which the offense could not get anything going. Quarterback Mitch Trubisky finished the loss with 228 passing yards and one interception.
Yes, the offense was horrible but the huge positive that few are talking about is that the Bears’ defense held elite Aaron Rodgers and that offense to just 10 points. The Chicago Bears had 5 sacks against Rodgers and were in the game until the final whistle. Now they take on the Broncos who struggled especially on the offensive line. Give me the Bears Pick – Bears Win
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Atlanta Falcons
Everything seems to be lining up nicely for the Eagles here as they take on the Falcons who looked awful against the Minnesota Vikings. Expect another strong finish from the Eagles and take this game. Pick – Eagles Win
Cleveland Browns vs. New York Jets
Two teams will have a chance to bounce back from embarrassing losses here on Monday Night Football as the New York Jets host the Cleveland Browns. The Browns received a ton of hype all offseason, and promptly got smoked by 30 points in their opener against the Titans. The deciding factor in this game will be the quarterback play and Sam Darnold averaged a pitiful 4.3 yards per attempt in Week 1. Give me the Browns here on MNF. Pick – Browns Win
