Game Totals Pick
Over 157.5(-110)

No. 6 Michigan will look to deliver a stronger performance in its first true road game of the season after narrowly escaping with an 85-84 win over Wake Forest. The Wolverines struggled from deep in that matchup, going 4-for-25 behind the arc. Michigan will need to be much better from deep if it wants to keep this game close, and this is a good matchup for that – as the Wolverines will go up against a TCU defense that’s allowing opponents to shoot 37.9% from deep this season.

TCU enters this matchup 2-1 on the season, but facing Michigan will be its toughest test so far. TCU opened the season with a surprising 78-74 loss to New Orleans despite being a 21-point favorite. Since then, the Horned Frogs bounced back with a win over Saint Francis 104-63 and just beat Lamar 78-65 – a game in which they shot 50.9% from the field. Leading the Horned Frogs in scoring this year is David Punch with 14 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. For the Wolverines, Morez Johnson Jr. leads his team with 17 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Michigan puts up 103 points per game, while TCU averages 85.3. Michigan ranks 22nd in adjusted offensive efficiency according to KenPom, but the Wolverines have struggled on defense – allowing 81 points per game. With both teams showing their ability to score and Michigan struggling on defense, we could see a high-scoring affair. Taking everything into consideration, I’ll be backing the over as my best bet of the day.
