The Vegas Golden Knights have made an emphatic statement so far in the Western Conference Finals. Vegas owns a 2-0 series lead after winning both games on the road in Denver. Now, the series is shifting to Vegas and the Golden Knights have a golden opportunity to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. But Nathan MacKinnon and company are sure to come out with an aggressive game plan looking to get back on track.

Avalanche vs Golden Knights parlay pick: Golden Knights ML (+124)
After winning the Presidents’ Trophy with 121 points in the regular season, the Colorado Avalanche are in deep trouble in the Western Conference Finals. Colorado won 8 of their first 9 playoff games, but have since been halted in their tracks by the Golden Knights. Vegas has won the first 2 games of this series by a combined score of 7-3, and now the series moves to T-Mobile Arena in Game 3. It’s clear that the Golden Knights have all the momentum right now, and there’s not much to suggest things will suddenly change in Game 3.
The lingering injury to Colorado’s Cale Makar cannot be understated. The superstar defenseman has missed the first 2 games of this series with an upper body injury, and his status for Game 3 remains in serious question. The Avs have not looked in sync offensively with Makar sidelined, as they’ve potted just 3 total goals through 2 games. Vegas goaltender Carter Hart is dialed in, as he has turned aside 65 of the 68 shots he’s faced so far, which is good for a save percentage of .956. With the Golden Knights rolling the way that they are, look for John Tortorella’s team to secure a Game 3 victory.
Avalanche vs Golden Knights parlay pick: Jack Eichel (VGS) 3+ shots on goal (-175)
Jack Eichel was able to snap his 10-game goal drought by finding the back of the net in Game 2, and I expect him to come out firing once again in Game 3. Eichel continues to generate tons of pressure, and has now fired a team-leading 40 shots on goal so far in the playoffs. He’s put 3+ shots on goal in 3 of his last 4 games, and with Vegas looking to take a 3-0 lead at home, he figures to see plenty of opportunities in this contest.
Throughout the regular season, Eichel paced the Golden Knights 260 shots on goal, and was one of just 3 players to put 200+ shots on goal. He’s continuing to see top line minutes and is commanding the No. 1 power play unit, so he figures to have the puck on his stick early and often again. With that in mind, look for Eichel to collect at least 3+ shots on goal.

Avalanche vs Golden Knights parlay pick: Martin Necas (COL) 3+ shots on goal (-130)
Colorado’s Martin Necas fired 3 shots on goal in Game 1 and a pair of shots on goal in Game 2. He has been held of the score sheet in both contests, and with Colorado facing an 0-2 hole, don’t be surprised if Necas comes out with an aggressive mind set in the offensive zone in Sunday’s Game 3.
After finishing the regular season ranked 2nd on the Avalanche with 206 shots on goal, the Colorado forward has fired 30 shots on goal in 11 postseason games. The potential absence of Makar could benefit Necas, and could result in him seeing more scoring chances. Necas has just a single goal in the postseason, and if the Avalanche are going to claw their way back into this series, he needs to play a massive role in generating offense. Thus, I expect Necas to fire at least 3 shots on goal in Game 3.
