2021 Rose Bowl Predictions, Picks, Teams, and Where to Watch: Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
2021 Rose Bowl Predictions, Picks, and Best Bets
The 2020 Rose Bowl takes place on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, as the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
It will be the first time Alabama has contested the Rose Bowl since 1946 (seventh time overall), and the second time Notre Dame has participated in the Rose Bowl since 1925 (second time overall). The Fighting Irish struggled to compete with Clemson in their last game, but have been solid this season and should have enough to keep within three touchdowns of Alabama. It’s worth noting that the Crimson Tide only won by six points against Florida in a game where they shipped a ton of points. Who is Favorite to Win the Rose Bowl 2021?
The current favorites to win the 2021 Rose Bowl are the Alabama Crimson Tide, who are -20 favorites to beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The huge spread does not come as a big surprise given that Alabama is 11-0 and has mostly been dominant aside from its shootout in the SEC Championship against Florida. Moreover, Notre Dame lost to Clemson by 24 points in the ACC Championship. It is also worth noting that the Fighting Irish got blown out in their previous College Football Playoff appearance—falling to Clemson 30-3 in the 2018 national semifinals.
That being said, giving 20 points to a team that is ranked No. 4 in the nation may be too many—especially considering the fact that Alabama just gave up 46 points in a game to Florida.
