As the NBA regular season continues to wind down, we’ll look to take advantage of tanking teams, fading role players, and eyeing competitive games in terms of standings. Let’s dive into our best NBA player prop bets for Thursday, March 12, with a 9-game slate to sink our teeth into. You can also find out our expert NBA picks for tonight’s matchups and every game throughout the season.

Best NBA player prop bet: Khris Middleton (DAL) under 17.5 points+rebounds (-106)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Khris Middleton has done a solid job of being a body for the Dallas Mavericks to get through this grueling season. He stepped up in place when Cooper Flagg and P.J. Washington missed time, while also bringing a championship pedigree to a 21-44 team. Yet, we’re looking to fade the 34-year-old after coming off a strong performance against the Atlanta Hawks, where he scored 16 points on 5/8 from the field and 4/4 from the free-throw line.

On Tuesday against the Hawks, Middleton’s points+rebounds+assists line closed at 14.5 after he wasn’t listed in the starting lineup — not surprising with Flagg, Washington and Naji Marshall active. He caught fire in the 2nd half, ultimately cashing his points prop. But I’m backing slight shooting regression and the likelihood that we see less than 25 minutes from Middleton — even with Klay Thompson unlikely to play.

NBA player prop bet: Derrick White (BOS) over 15.5 points (-115)

Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Once Jayson Tatum caught himself on the injury report yesterday, Derrick White’s props were calling my name. Tatum is listed as questionable heading into Thursday’s potential NBA Finals preview against the Thunder, with a conditioning tag being the reason he may not suit up. It could be because the Thunder perimeter guards are extremely aggressive and could give Tatum fits. Nonetheless, I want to get ahead of the news and back White’s points prop heading into Thursday night on Prime Video.

White went bonkers his last time out, scoring 34 points against his former team, the San Antonio Spurs — a season-high for White. It helps when Jaylen Brown gets ejected in the first half, opening up usage for White. But a 15.5 line is intriguing, even with the Celtics potentially back at full strength and Payton Pritchard likely returning after a 1-game absence.
