As the season continues on, who you pick up on the waiver wire can make or break your fantasy football season. Let’s break down a few guys who can help bring your team to the top.

Corey Clement/Wendell Smallwood (Philadelphia RB)

Eagles starting running back Jay Ajayi has a torn ACL which means Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood should be your top targets for this week. When Ajayi sat out week three Clement played 45 snaps while Smallwood played 29. Even with Clement getting more of the snaps in week three coach Doug Pederson has always done a running back by committee approach so both of these guys have a lot of value.

Clement has eight receptions on the season while Smallwood has 10 and Smallwood has had less snaps. If the league is not a PPR league Smallwood might not have as much value, but still look for this to be the most popular pickup this week.

Clement is 28.2 percent owned in ESPN leagues while Smallwood is only owned in 7.7 percent of them.

Taylor Gabriel (Chicago WR)

Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy loves to have a gadget wide receiver and he seems to have found his guy in Taylor Gabriel.

Gabriel had a huge game against the Buccaneers finishing the game with seven receptions for 104 yards and two touchdowns. The Bears had a bye week this last weekend which has caused Gabriel to lose some steam but there is no question this is a guy that can provide your fantasy team value.

With the season that Allen Robinson has had, there is going to be a lot of attention focused on him the rest of the season which is going to open up more production for Gabriel.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling ( Green Bay WR)

If you are looking for a one week fix to cover for someone on bye and that might have the highest upside for this weekends game look no farther than Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

The Green Bay Packers wide receivers all seem to be injured and there is a chance that the Packers could be without Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison this weekend.

With those two guys out against the Lions all Valdes-Scantling did was put up seven receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown.

There could be some risk because the Packers don’t play till Monday night and if Cobb and Allison are both able to go Valdes-Scantling doesn’t have a ton of value so he is a guy you would have to watch throughout the week.

Alfred Morris (San Francisco RB)

Matt Breida dodged major injury but still has an ankle sprain that could cause him to miss some time and if he does play this week he will probably be limited.

That opens up the door for Alfred Morris who flourished under Kyle Shannahan when the two were together with the Redskins and he could be in for a big game again on Monday night.

Morris finished the game with 61 yards rushing and also three receptions for 30 yards. Once again this is a risky pickup because if Breida is a game-time decision, this is a Monday night game and there won’t be any other options to turn too. If you already have Breida on your team though, this is a pickup you have to make this week.
