The UFC is back on Saturday with a nice card taking place in Uruguay. Let’s breakdown the main card and what side you need to be on with our UFC Uruguay Free MMA Picks.
Valentina Shevchenko (-1300) vs. Liz Carmouche (+695)
These two faced off back in 2010 and it was actually Liz Carmouche who came out with a win. Since that point, Shevchenko has become one of the best fighters in the UFC and is a huge favorite in this game. Carmouche is going to try and take this fight to the ground, but Shevchenko has shown that she can submit people down there so Carmouche has to be careful. Shevchenko is the better fighter and I think she will win this fight, but there is no value there. If you throw ten dollars on Carmouche and she wins, you win 70 dollars, and I think that is the way you need to attack this fight. It’s a lean but back the underdog in this game.
Mike Perry (+180) vs. Vicente Luque (-230)
If you like fights where both fighters end up bloody, make sure you tune into this one, because that is what will happen in this one. These two are both big powerful strikers but where Luque has a big advantage is on the reach and that will be the difference in this one. Even at -230 this is a strong play, and I would back Luque to get the job done.
Luiz Garagorri (-125) vs. Humberto Bandenay (-105)
Luiz Garagorri makes his UFC debut in front of his home country, and he will no doubt have a ton of adrenaline pumping in this game. These are both guys who also love to sit in the middle and throw punches and that will feed right into Garagorri’s game. He has more power in his punches and that should be enough for him to win. Back him to win by knock out.
Volkan Oezdemir (-150) vs. Ilir Latifi (+120)
Much like the rest of the card, these are two guys who each look for the knockout. I don’t love this play because neither has a big advantage and when that is the case the best bet is to go with the underdog. This is a lean at best but back Latifi to get the job done.
Rodolfo Vieira (-225) vs. Oskar Piechota (+175)
Vieira is a well-rounded fighter while Piechota isn’t a guy who will have any success if this fight goes to the ground. Vieira knows that and I expect he is going to try and take the fight to the ground early and often. I am not sure he will finish the fight but he will dominate the scorecard and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this fight end 30-26. It’s a high number to lay, but I have confidence, back Vieira to get the job done.
Enrique Barzola (-145) vs. Bobby Moffett (+115)
This is a match that will go the mat early and both guys will be okay with that. I think this fight is a real toss up, but the play is with the fight to go over 2.5 rounds. It should be an entertaining fight, but I don’t see other guy having a chance at a finish.
