There are 28 teams suited up in the NHL on Saturday for what should be a remarkably entertaining 14-game slate for fans. The action begins with a 12:30 pm ET puck drop in Detroit between the Sabres and Red Wings, then goes all throughout the afternoon, evening and night. This will be a day where you truly want to get any chores or obligations out of the way so that you can soak in every second possible of this excellent NHL slate.

Let’s get into my 3-leg NHL parlay for today’s action, and you can also find out our experts’ NHL predictions for tonight’s big matchups.

Sabres ML (-110)

Rangers ML (-142)

Oilers ML and Over 6.5 (+186)

NHL parlay odds: +830

Sabres ML (-110)

The Sabres and Red Wings have trended in very opposite directions for the last couple of weeks. Buffalo is 8-1-3 in its last 12 games. Opponents the Sabres beat during that stretch include the Hurricanes, Lightning, Golden Knights, Oilers, Red Wings and Islanders.

Meanwhile, the Red Wings are winless in their last 7 games with a -24 goal differential during that span. That is an average loss by 3.43 goals. Their loss to the Sabres during that span was by a final of 7-3 in favor of Buffalo. Until or unless they cool down, the Sabres are the hot hand.

Rangers ML (-142)

This Penguins team has taken plenty of punches lately. They have lost 4 out of their last 5 games in rather embarrassing fashion. The Pens needed a win against the lowly Sharks to break out of a slump. Their latest win against San Jose aside, this does not look like the Pittsburgh team that we are accustomed to seeing.

Pittsburgh is 6-10-2 in its last 18 games, while New York is 14-3-1 in their last 18. The Rangers are the better team that is also in superior form. They have also won the sole head-to-head matchup this season. Unless the Rangers give a weak effort, they should be able to take care of business in this one.

Oilers ML and Over 6.5 (+186)

Both teams are 7-2-1 in their last 10, but Edmonton has won 7 out of its last 9 home games whereas Colorado has struggled more on the road. The Oilers have played “little brother” to the Avalanche in seasons of late. They will play with a bit of extra jam to win this one and set the tone for a potential playoff preview.

Accompanying the Oilers money line for this pick is the over 6.5 total goals. The offensive prowess in this game is too much to overlook. Led by Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon, the Oilers and Avalanche score the 1st and 4th-most goals per game in the NHL, respectively. With impressive offensive depth, look for a high output.
