I've been a capper since my love for sports met my proficiency with numbers and math. The NFL and NCAAF have always been my first loves, followed by the NHL. Although I prefer sports that involve hitting people, I still love capping MLB, soccer, tennis, and even some esports. Living in Florida has its perks like year-round sports of any kind. NHL Parlay Picks (2/22)

Stars 3-way ML (+120)

Lightning -1.5 (+120)

Canucks 3-way ML (+120)

NHL parlay odds: +964

Dallas Stars 3-way ML over Ottawa Senators (+120)

The first of our NHL parlay picks for today features one of the first puck drops of the night. That would be up in Ottawa with the Senators hosting the Dallas Stars. It’s a long way from the Lonestar State, but other than that, all signs point to the Stars shining bright. They rarely go on long losing streaks and this is a great bounce-back spot for them.

Dallas just had to deal with the New York Rangers on the NHL’s longest winning streak, a Boston Bruins team primed to win the Eastern Conference and an Edmonton Oilers team that recently tied the NHL record for the longest winning streak. So, facing a Sens team that is sitting in last place in the Atlantic Division should be a welcome matchup. Miro Heiskanen is back healthy for the squad, and their defense and goaltending were already stout. Everything adds up to the Stars getting back on track and maintaining their top spot in the Central Division.

Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5 over Washington Capitals (+120)

We’re going with a home team for the 2nd of our NHL parlay picks, and it’s a rather classic inter-division matchup in the Eastern Conference. Tampa has been the most recent dynasty, while the Caps have had the high-profile name of Alex Ovechkin for the better part of 2 decades now. While Ovi has been on a hot streak, this has easily been the worst season of his career. Because of that, the Caps have been one of the lowest-scoring teams in the NHL, which is bad news when facing a world-class netminder in Andrei Vasilevskiy.

Much like Ovi has been on a tear, so too has Tampa’s Brayden Point, and Washington does not have the goaltending caliber of the Lightning. Tampa has also taken down the Colorado Avalanche and Boston Bruins in back-to-back games recently, while the Caps were recently defeated by the Avs by 3 goals on their home ice. The last 3 meetings between these teams were Lightning wins by a combined score of 13-5, so we’re comfortable taking them on the puck line tonight.

Vancouver Canucks 3-way ML over Seattle Kraken (+120)

We have to wait a bit longer for the last of our NHL parlay picks, but it should be worth it. We mentioned that the Stars don’t lose consecutive games often, but that is even more true for the NHL-leading Canucks. They were the only team to not have a 3-game winless streak until their recent loss to Colorado. Despite that, they still have the most points in the league, and we trust them to get back on track in Seattle tonight. It’s right down the road, so we aren’t concerned about being away from home, either.

In fact, when these teams last met earlier this season, which was also in Seattle, the Canucks easily took care of business in a 5-1 victory. Vancouver is still the 3rd-highest scoring team in the NHL, so another 5-goal night should be in the cards, if not more. The Kraken were also recently taken down on home ice by the Detroit Red Wings, so we’re trusting the Canucks to help us close out our NHL parlay picks for today.
