I've been a capper since my love for sports met my proficiency with numbers and math. The NFL and NCAAF have always been my first loves, followed by the NHL. Although I prefer sports that involve hitting people, I still love capping MLB, soccer, tennis, and even some esports. Living in Florida has its perks like year-round sports of any kind. Following just 2 conference matchups last night, tonight is absolutely loaded with NHL action. The 12-game slate features 6 games in the early window, divisional rivalries and even a potential Stanley Cup Finals preview in Boston. With so many great matchups on deck, our experts have broken down their best NHL parlay picks for a potentially huge payout. Along with our NHL mega parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL predictions for today’s action!

NHL Parlay Picks (2/29)

Red Wings ML & Under 6.5 (+205)

Stars 3-way ML (+110)

Ducks 3-way ML (+125)

NHL parlay odds: +1341

Detroit Red Wings ML over New York Islanders & Under 6.5 (+205)

As much as we’d love to have a play in the Golden Knights vs Bruins matchup, we’re not going to force it and will just enjoy the game instead. Regardless, we’re not wasting any time getting our NHL parlay picks started with a bang. We’ve got a combination play in Detroit where, believe it or not, the Red Wings have leap-frogged the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Atlantic Division and into a Wild Card spot.

Many fans got to see Patrick Kane score the game-winning OT goal against his former team in the Chicago Blackhawks, and now they get to face a New York Islanders team that is simply trying to stay relevant in the Eastern Conference. Their goaltending is strong, which is why we expect a lower-scoring game, but the Isles simply don’t have the offensive firepower to keep up with the Wings. Of the last 4 meetings between these teams, 3 of them have finished with 5 goals or fewer, with 2 of them seeing just 5 goals scored in total. Even if we have to sweat out a 3-2 type of win, we’re willing to trust a Detroit team that is on a 6-game winning streak and 7-2-1 over their last 10 games.

Dallas Stars 3-way ML over Winnipeg Jets (+110)

Shortly after the puck drops in Detroit, we have a fantastic Central Division rivalry matchup in Dallas. These are 2 teams trying to prevent the Colorado Avalanche from winning the Central, and games between them never seem to disappoint. This is a game that we expect to be more low-scoring than the first of our NHL parlay picks, but the better value is backing the Stars to take it in regulation. Both teams have world-class goaltenders, but we trust Dallas’ offense far more, especially on home ice.

When in the Lonestar State, the Stars are the 2nd-highest scoring team in the NHL, averaging 4 goals per game. That’s more than enough when facing Winnipeg, as finding the back of the net has been a struggle for them. They’ve woken up a bit as of late, but they have yet to figure it out when facing the Stars. In the 2 earlier meetings between these teams, Dallas allowed just 2 total goals and won the most recent matchup by a final score of 2-0. Therefore, we’re adding to our NHL parlay picks for today with the Stars 3-way money line.

Anaheim Ducks 3-way ML over San Jose Sharks (+125)

That’s right, we’re targeting the exact opposite of the Stanley Cup Finals preview we mentioned at the start. The Ducks and Sharks continue to sink and stay at the bottom of the Western Conference and the entire NHL, but we have far more faith in Anaheim in this matchup. Outside of being on the road, and still only right down the street, there isn’t much going against the Ducks. Even when the Sharks look like the predators, they fall short. They were up 2-0 on the New Jersey Devils the other night before allowing 7 unanswered goals.

San Jose allows the most goals per game while scoring the 2nd-fewest, and while Anaheim isn’t significantly better, they’ve proven that they can handle this Pacific Division rivalry. They’ve won 3 of the last 4 matchups between these teams, including a 4-1 win in the first one of this year. It’s not the marquee matchup of the night, but we take value anywhere we see it, so we’re rolling with the Ducks to win in regulation to close out the slate and our NHL parlay picks.
