We’re back to a double-digit slate in the NHL on Tuesday. There are 10 games on tap beginning at 7:00 pm ET on the east coast and going all through the night, as the final puck drops on the West Coast a few hours later. Every team has fewer than 20 games remaining in the regular season. With that, a night like this brings plenty of drama; there are valuable points on the line for several fringe teams. Fans are in for a heck of a Tuesday night taking in the action.

Let’s get into my 3-leg NHL parlay for today’s action, and you can also find out our experts’ NHL predictions for tonight’s big matchups.

Rangers vs Hurricanes Under 6 (-125)

Flyers -1.5 and Over 6 (+192)

Avalanche -1.5 (+140)

NHL parlay odds: +1161

New York Rangers vs Carolina Hurricanes Under 6 (-125)

The Rangers and Hurricanes are a couple of elite teams that are both in great form right now. In a game between very good teams that are well-acquainted, there can tend to be a slim margin of error. That type of situation typically bodes well for lower totals.

The under has hit in 7 out of the last 9 games for both teams, ironically, as well as in 5 out of the last 7 H2H in Carolina. There have been 10 goals scored in 2 head-to-head matchups this season for an average total of 5.0 per game. The pure matchup and recent trends look good for another under.

Philadelphia Flyers -1.5 over San Jose Sharks & Over 6 (+192)

The Sharks come at a good time in the Flyers’ schedule. There are teams outside the playoff picture nipping at Philadelphia’s heels and they have not strung together consecutive wins in a month. They are the far superior team in this game and will look to collect 2 points with a convincing win.

The over gives good value to a Flyers cover that otherwise does not have as great of value. In their last 10 games the Sharks have allowed an average of 4.7 goals. In their last 6 games the Sharks have scored a respectable 3.17 goals. The volatility of both teams lately, led by San Jose’s lackluster goal prevention, make for a higher total.

Colorado Avalanche -1.5 over Calgary Flames (+140)

The Avalanche and Flames have trended in different directions of late. Granted Colorado is trending upward because it is just plain an outstanding team. The Avalanche have battled with bouts of inconsistency a little bit this season, but they are in great form right now. They enter this game having won 5 out of their last 6 games by a combined 20 goals across those wins. That is an average win by 4 goals during that span.

Meanwhile, the Flames have come back down to earth from a strong run with a current 4-game stretch which includes 3 losses and a -8 goal differential. Colorado has won 6 out of the last 7 games played against Calgary, including both already played this season. The Avalanche are the more reliable team and +140 is a great number, even for a puck line.
