Horse Racing picks for Keeneland race track on Friday, October 6: Done Enough does enough

Swiss Skydiver wins the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Racetrack.

There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Friday, including Keeneland race track. We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time now as we are up +176.65 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Keeneland.

2:04 pm Keeneland (Race 3) – Bandita 6/5 (2-star play)

A $350,000 purchase as a yearling back in 2021, the daughter of Gun Runner failed to appear at 2 making her racecourse debut when delivering an impressive eight-and-three-quarter-length victory in a 7-furlong maiden special weight at Gulfstream Park at the end of January. The filly has shown good form in the mornings of late including when deliver a 1:03.22 5-furlong workout on September 29 and is expected to maintain her unbeaten record.

2:36 pm Keeneland (Race 4) – Done Enough 5/2 (2-star play)

The juvenile has shown plenty of ability in her 3 starts to date including when fading late on when fourth in a mile maiden special weight on turf at Monmouth Park just over 2 months ago. The daughter of Flameaway got off the mark at the third attempt when making all the running in a six furlong contest on a sloppy main track at the same venue last month. Looks capable of completing a double in this contest.

3:40 pm Keeneland (Race 6) – Tammy Lynn 2/1 (2-star play)

The daughter of Distorted Humor performed well when making her debut in a competitive maiden special weight at Saratoga at the start of last month. Tammy Lynn was beaten one-and-a-quarter lengths into second over five furlongs on a firm turf course on that occasion. The extra distance the filly tackles here should prove no issue and she is taken to build on a promising 48.80 4-furlong work at Churchill Downs with a victory here.

4:44 pm Keeneland (Race 8) – Time To Dazzle 5/2 (2-star play)

Fetched $310,000 when going through the ring at Keeneland as a yearling and the filly broke her maiden at the first attempt when racing at Woodbine last month. Time To Dazzle tracked the early pace prior to leading and drawing 3 lengths clear in the stretch on a good turf course in that contest. Mark Casse’s filly is expected to have improved for that experience and she can follow up with Luis Saez in the saddle.

5:16 pm Keeneland (Race 9) – Brightwork 9/5 (2-star play)

Trained by John Alexander Ortiz, the 2-year-old is unbeaten in four starts to date registering Graded stakes triumphs in her 2 most recent outings. The second of those saw her deliver a first top level success in taking out the Grade 1 Spinaway Stakes over seven furlongs by half-a-length at Saratoga at the start of last month. Brightwork usually races close to or on the speed, while the extra distance here is unlikely to inconvenience.
