We are beginning another week in Major League Baseball with a small 7-game slate on Monday. It all gets started with a 7:05 pm ET American League East showdown between the Blue Jays and Orioles, while the Yankees and Mariners will wrap things up with a 10:10 pm ET opening pitch. There is also an ESPN+ game between the Pirates and Diamondbacks, which is set for 9:40 pm ET.

It’s time to take a look at the three components of Monday’s mega parlay.

Orioles ML (+130)

Cubs -1.5 (+120)

Angels ML (+105)

Parlay odds: +937

For this parlay we are going with two underdogs on the money line and one favorite on the run line. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Orioles ML over Blue Jays (+130)

These two AL East representatives have met only once so far this year, splitting a 4-game series in mid-June. Since then the Orioles have done extremely well to stay in postseason contention. The Blue Jays are in the mix as well, but they just placed leadoff hitter George Springer on the injured list this past weekend. A Springer-less Toronto lineup will face Baltimore’s Jordan Lyles, who posted one of his team’s wins in the previous head-to-head series. The O’s have been victorious in 5 of Lyles’ last 6 starts, including a 6-3 defeat of the high-powered Yankees. Baltimore’s bullpen has been one of the best in the business in 2022, so runs may be hard to come by from start to finish for Toronto. Don’t be surprised if a minor upset is in the cards.

Cubs -1.5 over Nationals (+120)

The Nationals have lost 5 of their last 6 games, including 5 in a row since trading all-star Juan Soto. It’s not like the Cubs are on fire, but they can generally beat bad teams and are coming off a series win over the Marlins. Today’s projected starters are Washington’s Anibal Sanchez and Chicago’s Keegan Thompson. Sanchez was on the injured list earlier this season and will be making just his 5th start of the 2022 campaign. He is 0-4 with a 7.65 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. Thompson has been solid but unspectacular (5-5, 4.30 ERA) for the Cubs since joining the rotation in mid-May. The bottom line is the Nats are a sinking ship right now and they should continue to go down today.

Angels ML over Athletics (+105)

This AL West matchup also took place last week in Anaheim. Although the Angels lost 2 of 3, the game in which they prevailed was the same pitching matchup that will happen again today. LA’s Jose Suarez hurled 5.0 scoreless innings the last time he faced Oakland – a team that is struggling mightily at the moment and really has been bad all season long. The Athletics’ lineup is one of the worst in baseball, so even though Cole Irvin is a decent starter it’s hard to have much confidence in this club even when Irvin is toeing the rubber. The A’s just got swept by the Giants over the weekend and their nosedive will likely continue tonight.
