In the only NBA game being played this Thursday we have Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks trying to improve on their woeful road record as they take on the Detroit Pistons. Tip-off is at 7:00 pm ET on NBA TV, and I’ve prepared a Same Game Parlay which is available below. Let’s dive in!

Dallas Mavericks 11+ win margin (+140)

Luka Doncic to record 12+ assists (+340)

Same Game Parlay odds: +763

Dallas Mavericks 11+ win margin (+140)

Although the Mavs have won only once in 8 attempts on the road this season, I think this will be the game they finally turn things around. They are coming off a massive win at home against the Warriors after another masterpiece from Luka Doncic. Tonight’s opponents, the Pistons, have been one of the worst teams in the league for a while now, with the 2nd-worst defensive rating. They just allowed the worst 3-point team in the league score 140 on them in a 30-point loss at home. That’s music to the ears of the Mavs players who are one of the better teams on the road when it comes to 3-point efficiency this season. Dallas has beaten Detroit 5 times in a row, they’ve also covered the spread in 5 of the last 6 meetings. With nothing going according to plan for Detroit at the moment, I have Dallas winning by 11 or more points.

Luka Doncic to record 12+ assists (+340)

After seeing the Knicks drain 16 threes against Detroit in their last game, I’m expecting the Mavs to let it fly from deep in tonight’s game. They rank 5th in the league in attempts, averaging 39.4 a game, and that number goes up to 41.3 per game in their last 3. In those 3 games the Mavs have knocked down 34.7% of their shots from the perimeter, improving on their season average. Luka will be the catalyst for all of those shots tonight, just like he was against the Warriors a couple of nights ago when he had 12 dimes. It was his second game in a row collecting 12 dimes, and in his last 3 of 4 meetings with Detroit he’s recorded 11, 11 and 14 assists. The Pistons allowed New York to have 31 assists on Tuesday, and they rank only 17th in the NBA in opponent assists per game, allowing 25.6 a night. A team like Dallas ranking in the top 10 in most offensive categories should have a solid offensive night and Luka should be the biggest reason why.
