Things are expected to heat up in this Knicks vs 76ers series as the 2 teams lock horns in Philadelphia for Game 3. Will the home team respond in front of the home crowd and reduce the deficit to 2-1, or could they be facing the point of no return and falling 3-0 behind in the series? Tip-off is at 7:30 pm ET on TNT and I’ve prepared a Knicks vs 76ers Same Game Parlay to add even more buzz to the battle. You can also read our NBA picks for tonight’s matchups, but for now, let’s get into this SGP.

Philadelphia 76ers ML over New York Knicks (-186)

Despite being up 2-0, I’ve not been impressed at all by the Knicks as a team in this series, especially Jalen Brunson who has struggled mightily from the field. Going back home should do the Sixers well here, as they were one of the more consistent home teams in the NBA during the regular season at 24-17-1 ATS. In the last 15 head-to-head meetings at Wells Fargo Center, they’re 11-4 SU.

A couple of referee mistakes towards the end allowed the Knicks to steal Game 2, but you just know the 76ers will be fired up to win Game 3 and get back in this series. Tyrese Maxey will be presented the Most Improved Player award prior to tip-off as well, which should add even more fuel to the fire of this already rowdy fanbase. I have Philly pulling one back on Thursday.

Joel Embiid over 1.5 made threes (-154)

Embiid’s knee injury has limited him quite a bit on offense, especially in the rebounding department. Through the first two games of this series, he has attempted 8 and 9 threes respectively, more than double his regular-season shot-attempt average from distance. That should continue here as well, as the big fella tries to avoid contact and settles for more mid-range and three-point shots. He’s cleared this line in both games at MSG, stretching his streak to 6 straight games with at least 2 threes made. New York ranks in the bottom half of the NBA when it comes to opponent three-point percentage in road games, and Philadelphia will need everything it can get from its big man to get back in this series. Expect Embiid to come out firing early in this one.

Tobias Harris to score 15+ points (+165)

For a player who is making over $37 million this season, Harris has vastly underperformed in the first 2 games against the Knicks. If someone told me prior to this series getting underway that Kyle Lowry will be averaging more points than Harris through the first 2 games, I would be shocked. I’m expecting a lot more from him over the next 2 games, as Harris averaged 16.7 points per game during the regular season at Wells Fargo Center, shooting over 50% from the field and over 38% from three-point land. Role players generally play better in a home environment and although he’s technically the 3rd scoring option behind Embiid and Maxey, Harris’ confidence should go up significantly when playing at home. It’s about time we saw a productive game from him against the Knicks.
