Vegas Golden Knights ML (+100)

Right off the bat I’m expecting a bounce-back game for Jack Eichel and the Golden Knights. Admittedly, I have been riding the Panthers’ Cinderella run through these 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs — but their luck may run out thanks to Vegas. The Knights have simply been the better team on the ice, even in Thursday’s Game 3. Nearly every advanced metric was in Vegas’ favor, including MoneyPuck having it as the winner more than 70% of the time. While Eichel is undoubtedly the household name on the roster, Jonathan Marchessault has truly taken over this postseason. We’ll dive more into his incredible play coming up, but it’s helped lead the Knights to this point.

Prior to Game 3, Vegas was 10-0 when leading after the second period. Although that undefeated streak was broken, Florida still had just 1 shot on goal in the overtime period. Similarly, the Panthers committed a penalty with just seconds left in the game. That’s worth noting, as their physicality has been more to their detriment in the Stanley Cup Finals than it had been in previous series. Their penalty kill has been far from impressive, which should again play a factor in Game 4. Finally, it’s also worth monitoring Matthew Tkachuk. Florida truly only goes as far as he takes this team, and a hit in Game 3 sent him to the locker room. While I fully expect him on the ice, the first leg of this Golden Knights vs Panthers Same Game Parlay is still on Vegas’ money line.

Over 5.5 goals (-122)

I’m shifting to the total, or over/under, for the second leg of our Golden Knights vs Panthers Same Game Parlay. Although Thursday’s Game 3 had just 5 total goals scored, I’m expecting more in Saturday’s Game 4. Firstly, there is going to be just one night of rest between matchups. At this point in the Stanley Cup playoffs, that’s going to feel like nothing for these teams. That generally leads to less effort on the defensive end.

Even if that doesn’t come to fruition and the Panthers are still just as physical, it hasn’t paid off for them in the Stanley Cup Finals. As mentioned, their penalty kill has been very lackluster. That’s why we saw Vegas handle them with ease 5-2 and 7-2 in the first 2 games. While they have already proven that they can find the back of the net, so can Florida. Vegas goaltender Adin Hill has been playing above expectation, so a couple more goals allowed for the remainder of the series also wouldn’t be a surprise. It may not be another blowout like Games 1 and 2, but a 4-3 Vegas win is what I’m envisioning.

Jonathan Marchessault – Anytime goal scorer (+185)

Finally, the last leg of our Golden Knights vs Panthers Same Game Parlay is focused on a skater we previously mentioned. Marchessault has been absolutely remarkable en route to the Stanley Cup Finals. Following his goal in Game 3, he has now scored a goal in 13 of Vegas’ last 13 games. While Eichel may be the better overall talent, it’s Marchessault taking over as of late.

That’s why he’s the clear favorite to win the Conn Smythe Trophy for the MVP of the playoffs. He is certainly helped by Eichel, as well; Eichel has recorded 5 assists in the Stanley Cup Finals alone. It’s also not as if Marchessault is just firing away at will and eventually finding the back of the net. He has an impressive 18.3% shot percentage in the postseason. This prop is as low as +100 on some sportsbooks, so I will happily cap off this Golden Knights vs Panthers Same Game Parlay with such great value on Marchessault.
