NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidates for 2023-2024: Who are the favorites?

Given our table above with the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds, there are a few players who stand out. Below we will go into further detail for each of the NFL Offensive Rookie of Year favorites and why each one could win this award at the end of the season.

Bijan Robinson NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds (+275)

The current NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds for Bijan Robinson is +275 at DraftKings Sportsbook. He was the 8th overall pick in the NFL Draft and was selected by the Atlanta Falcons. In his college career at Texas, Robinson rushed for 3,410 yards and 33 touchdowns. Atlanta is expected to use Robinson a fair amount, which will give him plenty of opportunities to post big numbers. This is why Robinson is one of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year favorites.

Bryce Young NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds (+500)

Bryce Young was the first overall pick in the NFL Draft and was selected by the Carolina Panthers. His NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds are +500 at DraftKings Sportsbook. At Alabama, Young posted 8,356 passing yards and 80 touchdowns. As a quarterback, Young is going to have the ball in his hands pretty much every time the ball is snapped, which is why he is one of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year favorites.

Anthony Richardson NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds (+650)

The third of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year favorites is Anthony Richardson with odds of +650. He was the 4th overall pick in the NFL Draft and was selected by the Indianapolis Colts. Richardson really was not all that impressive at Florida, posting 3,105 passing yards and 24 touchdowns. Richardson has not officially been named the starter for the Colts, but it is likely he will start in Week 1. However, given that his college numbers were not amazing, he may not be the best option to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

CJ Stroud NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds (+850)

Fourth on the list of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year favorites is CJ Stroud at odds of +850. He was the 7th overall pick in the NFL Draft and selected by the Houston Texas. At Ohio State, Stroud posted 8,123 passing yards and 85 touchdowns. He looks to be the most NFL ready, so despite the fact that he plays for the Texans, Stroud looks to be one of the better options to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year 2023-2024: Long-shot candidates to watch

One of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year betting long-shots to consider is Zay Flowers. His odds are +3000 at DraftKings Sportsbook. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens with the 22nd overall pick in the NFL Draft. At Boston College, Flowers had 3,056 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns. The Ravens do have several offensive targets, but with Flowers’s explosiveness, he could certainly be a target for this award.

How we make our NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year 2023-2024 predictions

Our NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year betting predictions are made by looking at how the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidates performed over their college careers. Odds play a factor, as betting someone outside the top 15 on the odds is probably ill-advised, but also going all-in on the favorite might not give you the best value.

How the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year is decided

The winner of the NFL Offensive Rookie of the year is decided by a panel of 50 sports writers from across the country that are with the Associated Press. Before 2022, each person had a single vote and the player who received the most votes would win the award.

However, the new voting system will allow each voter to place three votes. One first-place vote, one second-place vote, and one third-place vote. Because of this, it is possible that the winner will not have the most first-place votes. It is not determined by the total number of votes given to that player.
