Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers is here. Game 1 brought us an extremely shocking result, in a 5-1 thumping by the Bruins on the road. Boston is a good team, but a result like this would have never been expected. Florida will need a major bounce back effort so they don’t head on the road down 0-2 in the series.

Urgency levels should already be risen by Florida, so I see them coming out flying in this game and securing the win. Florida easily took care of business in Round One, and with extra rest, they were caught flat footed in the series opener against Boston. Now that they have an embarrassing effort out of the way, I think they will quickly remind the Bruins why they are one of the best teams in the entire NHL. Florida has arguably the deepest team in the league, with all-star talent, grit, and a Vezina-calibre goaltender. Their home building will also be very loud, supplying extra energy for the game’s entirety. Florida is too powerful to be shut down that easily, so I expect this game to play out much differently than their previous one. Take Florida to win this game and even the series.

The Boston Bruins scored 5 goals against one of the NHL’s best teams and goaltenders. While they are unlikley to see this total in this game, the group is riding loads of confidence, and should be able to score a few in this one.

The big difference is that I see Florida finding the back of the net multiple times. Jeremy Swayman has been incredible in goal for Boston, but Florida’s firepower is stacked. Both teams should score multiple times, giving us a high scoring game. Take the over for the game totals.

NHL Picks are most similar to MLB Picks, in that the most popular NHL wagering is done via the Money line (ML) where a bettor simply picks a winner or loser of the game finding value in the price. NHL betting has a 1.5-goal spread known as the puck line (PL). Again just like baseball betting has the run line (-1.5).
