The Celtics have a chance to close out their series against the Cavaliers tonight, being up 3-1 heading into Game 5. As it currently stands, Donovan Mitchell is questionable after missing Game 4 entirely and Jarrett Allen is a perpetual questionable at this point. The Thunder evened the series at 2-2 with Dallas and we head back to Oklahoma City. Luka Doncic has not looked himself this series and we’ve yet to really get a Kyrie Irving scoring onslaught, but defensively he needs to be recognized for how he’s stepped it up. The story of that series has been the emergence of PJ Washington as a legitimate 3rd option for the Mavs, along with Josh Giddey being relegated to backup point guard for OKC. We’re going back to an old friend here with this play. We hit this in Game 1 and Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals and it’s actually cashed in 3 of 4 games in the series. Pritchard is very much entrenched in this rotation and should see 20-25 minutes tonight in a close-out game. It’s tough to believe the Cavaliers will match the Celtics’ output tonight, assuming Mitchell is out again and this game turns into a blowout. Blowouts mean Cleveland will be forced to rely on threes to stay in the game and that is where Pritchard is grabbing the lion’s share of his rebounds in this series. 1u
