Southampton’s scheduled FA Cup clash against Shrewsbury was postponed last weekend and that gives the Saints a timely break as the fixtures continue to come thick and fast.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side has been performing well of late, despite what their results may indicate and they look to have a strong chance of achieving a positive result at Leicester.
Southampton had gone four matches without a win, but they beat Liverpool at St Mary’s last time out and prior to that they had faced tricky fixtures against Arsenal, Man City, Fulham and West Ham.
Leicester is a decent side and they will have hopes of achieving a top-four finish this season. However, the Foxes game is primarily centred around counter-attacking football and Hasenhuttl is cute enough to set up his team to be wary of allowing any space in behind his defence.
The Saints have conceded just three goals in their last seven Premier League matches and they let in just two in a trio of fixtures against quality sides Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal.
At the odds, Southampton and the tie make plenty of appeal on the double chance market.
