Hawaii vs Air Force Pickswise Expert Predictions

Hawaii Rainbow Warriors
Game Totals Pick
Under 53.5(-110)

I have never been one for Game Totals, but this is one of those spots where targeting the Over/Under makes more sense than picking a side. Given the fact that the Falcons or an opponent have scored 49 in their last three games, this number seems drastically low. The Total has been crushing the Over as of recent, with the total points scored approaching 80 with Over/Under lines posted around this number. It doesn’t make sense. Here is what can be said, Hawaii will have its hands full playing away from home in less than inviting environs like Colorado Springs. Can that throw their offense out of whack with a freshman quarterback? Perhaps, but the Falcons have one of the worst scoring defenses in the country, giving up 37 points per game (128th overall).  Do the Warriors have a defense than can stop Air Force’s patented rushing attack? On paper, they do, with a top-30 rushing defense. And yet, the Falcons are favored here – the situational spot is contrary to the notion but the Falcons are expected to outscore the Warriors what is a modest scoring game. Translation – this is a rock fight waiting to happen where the Fly Guys play keep away and the Rainbow Warriors struggle to adjust. All of that points toward the Under hitting, not the Over.

Bottom line, everyone is expecting a shootout here and the Total says contrary to that, the play is to take the Under which incidentally will likely be available at a better price closer to kick off.

Hawaii vs. Air Force prediction: Under 53.5 (-110) at time of publishing. Playable to Under 53.
