With less than a week of the regular season remaining, the Los Angeles Dodgers are on the road against the Arizona Diamondbacks in an NL West clash that could decide the fate of several teams. Arizona is clawing for a playoff spot, while L.A. looks to ensure it doesn’t drop its lead in the division with San Diego trailing 1.5 games behind. Blake Snell (2.44 ERA, 1.28 WHIP) takes the mound for the Dodgers, while Ryne Nelson (3.34 ERA, 1.07 WHIP) gets the start for the home side. Both are quality starting pitchers with a bevy of quality starts under their belts in recent history, and both teams have quality splits in this matchup.

In what will be a tight, meaningful game, I expect things to remain close until the latter innings — when the relievers come into the mix. For that reason, I’ll take the Dodgers to win.
