Like most Thursdays in MLB, we have a smaller slate due to traveling day for new series kicking off on Friday. Let’s dive into my best MLB player prop bets for Thursday, June 12, while you can also find out our MLB picks for every matchup today.
Best MLB player prop bet: Giants F5 -0.5 over Rockies (-140)
Odds available at Caesars Sportsbook at time of publishing.
There are fewer things better in sports than fading the Rockies. How about fading the Rockies in Coors Field? The Rockies are 6-27 at home this season and have 30-year-old RHP Antonio Senzatela on the mound and his 7.11 xERA – ranking in the bottom 2nd percentile in all of baseball. Meanwhile batters xBA of .341 against Senzatela is worst amongst all pitchers.
On the other side of the diamond, 23-year-old Hayden Birdsong will get the ball for the Giants and will be his 2nd career starts at Coors Field. Last season, Birdsong pitched a season-high six innings of two runs and 12 K’s. Back the 23-year-old Birdsong on the mound and the Giants offense to hit around veteran Senzatela.

Best MLB player prop bet: Framber Valdez (HOU) under 4.5 hits allowed (+108)
Odds available at Caesars Sportsbook at time of publishing.
Framber Valdez’s month of May was sensational. A WHIP of .95, along with registering four wins. His lone start in June was just as good. Valdez got his 6th win of the season after seven strong innings of four-hit baseball versus the Pirates. The matchup gets just as good versus the White Sox, who rank in the bottom 10 in batting average and the bottom three in OBP. Expect another stellar outing from Valdez, who will look to make it four straight games by cashing the under of 4.5 hits allowed.
