It’s a quiet day on the diamond with only 5 matchups on tap. However, there are still plenty of betting opportunities and I’ve combed through each game to pick out my best MLB prop bet for today’s action. After two straight Same Game Parlay winners, I’m looking to ride that wave of momentum and bring some magic to the prop market for Thursday, July 24. Let’s dive in! You can also get our MLB picks for today’s games and EVERY MATCHUP through the rest of the season.

Best MLB prop bet: St. Louis Cardinals TT under 4.5 runs (-130)

Odds available at bet365 at time of publishing.

Yu Darvish will get the ball for the San Diego Padres in his 4th start of the year. Sidelined by an elbow injury that left Darvish contemplating retirement, the 38-year-old will surely be limited, as he has an over/under outs line of 15.5 with vig on the under. But that plays in our favor with our best MLB prop bet of the 5-game slate.

We’re targeting the under of 4.5 runs by the St. Louis Cardinals due to how elite the Padres’ bullpen is. Their 3.13 ERA is best in baseball. More importantly, they’re fresh after using just 3 arms over the last 2 days. The backend of the superb pen that includes Robert Suarez, Jeremiah Estrada, Jason Adam and Adrian Morejon will look to silence a Cardinals offense that is fresh off being shut out in Colorado. There may also be some fatigue issues in traveling from Colorado to St. Louis. All in all, expect a quiet day from the Cardinals’ bats.
