The Monday night slate offers a 9-game medley that features divisional rivalries renewed, headlined by the renewal of hostilities between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers — a series last season culminating in the playoffs that nearly saw fists thrown. Bucks vs Pacers best bet: Pacers ML (+190)

Yes, Milwaukee wants revenge. Yes, Indiana is 1-5 and missing Halliburton. And that’s exactly why this number is bloated. Rivalry games create chaos, not certainty. Indiana knocked the Bucks out last year and still has enough scoring and edge to turn this into a street-fight at home. Inflated “revenge line” = we take the dog. Indiana wants to win this as much as the Deer do, let’s not stand on ceremony.
Timberwolves vs Nets best bet: Nets +9 (-110)

This line is inflated on perception. The Nets haven’t won a game yet this season while the Timberwolves were in the Western Conference Finals, a year ago. No one wants the Nets and we get it, but that’s why the number next to their name is inflated. We don’t care about logos or jerseys, they key is finding the best number and only one team has that in this spot: Brooklyn.
Jazz vs Celtics best bet: Celtics -10 (-110)

It’s no mystery that Boston looks far more human this season compared to last, but they did lose their franchise player for the season due to an ACL tear. Utah meanwhile has been one of the up-start surprises of 2025, this is a team that looks headed in the right direction. Compare the two trajectories of both sides and Utah looks like a gift here. Who would spot these points with the C’s. That’s the point. Boston re-asserts itself in the TD Garden and reminds all that they haven’t vanished altogether.

Wizards vs Knicks best bet: Wizards +11.5 (-110)

The Knicks in the Garden at home against the Wizards? You can also wager that you will be paying a premium here to get behind New York. Ever since the early season win against the Mavericks, the Wizards have collapsed back into mediocrity. Once again they find themselves prone to inflated point spreads and still struggling to cover. In this scenario, the Knicks seem like the obvious choice but the value lies with the guests. Add in New York has won nine straight against Washington and undefeated at home, the number swells that much more. Grab the points.

Mavericks vs Rockets best bet: Mavericks +12.5 (-110)

Another rivalry tilt on tap and two teams heading in opposite directions, perfect spot to take the Mavs. Dallas has looked maligned so far earlier this season. They got whacked by San Antonio, lost to Washington, gave up 130 to Toronto, and got trampled by any team of consequence such as OKC or Detroit. Houston meanwhile? An ATS darling, that has covered four out of five who just thrashed Boston by 27 on their own floor. This is the space for both an overreaction and let-down, the confluence of both make the Mavericks who are an afterthought here, the value play. Dallas plus the points.

Pistons vs Grizzlies best bet: Grizzlies ML (+145)

The Grizzlies haven’t covered in 4 straight, while the Pistons have picked up some high-quality scalps with wins over Houston, Boston, and Orlando already this season. The Grizzlies fell by 15 last night at Toronto and are 1-3 overall in their last four outside with only a narrow one-point win against Phoenix to their name. These are 2 teams with two different market presences with Detroit having the appeal and the Grizzlies not boding such allure. However, Memphis is at home and has won its last 9 against the Pistons. One must wonder if this a proverbial thumb tack on the floor for the Pistons and until Detroit proves it can beat Memphis, the Grizzlies are the side to back. The fact they are less than a dollar and a half return as a +4.5 underdog tells us that the oddsmaker respects the Grizzlies here. So do we.
Kings vs Nuggets best bet: Over 236.5 (-110)

Both teams can score, but it is the Nuggets who we particularly like to contribute to this effort. Denver is scoring 124 points per game on average but there is a caveat. That number was diminished by a defensive showing by Portland that kept the Nuggets to 107. Take away that one result, Denver is averaging nearly 130 points per outing. Sacramento is a team that doesn’t have the defensive posture to slow them down; it is giving up nearly 120 per outing. Even if the Nuggets rout the Kings like the point spread (-11.5) suggests, there is a pathway for this number to easily go over if the Kings can generate any form of offense. An average showing by the Kings (115 ppg) puts this number in position. Grab the Over.
Lakers vs Trail Blazers best bet: Lakers ML (+125)

The Blazers are the best team in the NBA against the spread at 5-1 and they have also defeated Los Angeles earlier this season by 14 in L.A. Despite everything we mentioned, the market is daring you to take the Blazers here in Rip City spotting a possession to the Lakers. That’s the trap. If we take away the ATS spree by the Trail Blazers, this game could be a pick ’em. Incidentally, this would be the way of it in Portland not Los Angeles. A different team is coming to the Pacific Northwest this evening and the line forewarns this. Forget the points — Lakers outright.

Heat vs Clippers best bet: Clippers -7.5 (-110)

The Clippers are a team that need no introduction at this point. They have been bleeding units at 1-4 on the season and there is a look-ahead aspect to this game that the market is factoring in with the Thunder on-deck. As result, the Heat have become the darling of the menu with the points looking irresistible. We’ve seen this situation once already this season when the Clips were a 10-point favorite against Phoenix in the Intuit Dome after they got walloped by Utah in their season opener. What happened? Clippers by 27. Similarly, expect the Clippers to run the Heat out of the building. Nothing about Miami suggests it can compete on Monday; it has dropped three on the road already this season and the Clips play at another level in their own stead.
