Best NBA Bets Today: Odds & Picks for every game on Saturday, February 21

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA brings us 6 games on Saturday that will include a heavyweight cross-conference matchup. The Houston Rockets will be taking on the New York Knicks with both teams currently 4th in their respective conferences. They are also both just a half game behind the team in front of them so a win would go a long way to helping them climb the rankings.

You can find our full NBA previews here. But first, check out my best bet selection for each of Saturdays games below.

Orlando Magic vs Phoenix Suns best bet: Magic ML (+100)

Devin Booker will be unavailable for the Suns in this matchup which will leave their offense shorthanded. With the hosts also not having a great matchup for Paolo Banchero, the Magic star should get his teams offense into top gear tonight. He is coming into this game after a 30-point effort and could put up similar numbers tonight, helping the Magic to get a win on the road.

Philadelphia 76ers vs New Orleans Pelicans best bet: 76ers -3.5 (-110)

While Joel Embiid will be out the 76ers should still be well positioned to take on the Pelicans. Over the last 10 games they are in the top 10 of the league in 3-point percentage. With the hosts 26th in opponent 3-point attempts during that stretch, they could get burned here. The Pelicans are also on the second night of a back-to-back and have a points differential of -11.1 in games with no nights rest this season.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Miami Heat best bet: Santi Aldama over 6.5 rebounds (+100)

The Grizzlies are an undersized team and will be going up against an elite big in Bam Adebayo tonight. It should force Santi Aldama to play a bigger role inside, and he is more than capable of delivering in the rebound department when there. In his second game this season he managed 8 rebounds in 20 minutes against the Heat, and he has not played fewer minutes in any game since. In a bigger role, he should be able to replicate his performance.

Sacramento Kings vs San Antonio Spurs best bet: Russell Westbrook under 1.5 made threes (-125)

While the Kings seem to continue starting veterans Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan, they are starting to limit their minutes. So far this month Westbrook has played 22 or fewer minutes in 3 of the 5 games, failing to make 2 or more 3-pointers in any of those games. With him knocking down just 27.8% of his attempts from there in February, expect more of the same here.

Detroit Pistons vs Chicago Bulls best bet: Jalen Duren over 29.5 points + rebounds (-106)

Since trading away Nikola Vucevic, the Bulls no longer have a big body that can dominate down low. That should allow an emerging star like Jalen Duren to flourish. He averages 28.1 combined points and rebounds so far this season. Over the last 10 games the Bulls are 22nd in rebounding percentage and 28th in opponent points in the paint, so look for Duren to exceed his averages here.

Houston Rockets vs New York Knicks best bet: Over 217.5 (-110)

The Knicks offense has been clicking of late with the team 5th in offensive rating over the last 10 games. It has led to high scoring games for them, with their last 3 comfortably clearing the combined 220-point mark. The Rockets will have to step up on that end themselves if they want to stay competitive tonight. That should give this game a great chance of clearing a relatively low total line.
