There are 6 games on the NBA slate to close out the week including more international action. The Orlando Magic and the Memphis Grizzlies meet in the days early tip off in yet another European location. Then action will be returning to US soil with teams like the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers taking to the floor.
You can read all of our NBA previews. But first check out my best bets for each of the nights games.
Orlando Magic vs Memphis Grizzlies best bet: Magic -3.5 (-110)
The Magic were able to pick up a 7-point win in Berlin against the Grizzlies and should continue to see success against the same opponent in London. Memphis has ranked just 20th in net offensive and defensive rating over the last 10 games and does not seem to have the team cohesion to turn things around.
Brooklyn Nets vs Chicago Bulls best bet: Matas Buzelis over 15.5 points (-118)
Buzelis scored an inefficient 15 points the last time these sides met, but there were positive signs for the youngster. He attempted 15 shots in that game and managed 32 minutes of playing time. With Patrick Williams listed as questionable, Buzelis should continue seeing a bigger role tonight — and if he shoots more closely to his season averages in terms of field-goal percentage, 16 points should come easy to him.
New Orleans Pelicans vs Houston Rockets best bet: Trey Murphy III 4+ made threes (+158)
Murphy has been sensational from beyond the arc to start the year. He has made 41.1% of his shots from deep and averaged 5.3 made threes per game. As a result, he has hit the over on this line in 6 of his last 7 games. Over the last 10 games, the Rockets are 22nd in opponents’ 3-point percentage.
Charlotte Hornets vs Denver Nuggets best bet: Nuggets -2 (-110)
Nikola Jokic going down has not derailed the Nuggets;season; instead, the team is riding a 4-game winning streak into tonight’s matchup. Jamal Murray torched the Hornets for 34 points earlier this season and should be dominant once more tonight, helping Denver cover the spread.
Portland Trail Blazers vs Sacramento Kings best bet: Shaedon Sharpe over 3.5 assists (+100)
With Deni Advija out and Jrue Holiday still seeing limited time on the floor coming back from injury, Sharp should see increased usage tonight. He has hit the over on this line in each of the last 2 games and should continue seeing success in that category against a Kings team that is 22nd in opponent assists per game this season.
Toronto Raptors vs Los Angeles Lakers best bet: Raptors ML (+104)
The Raptors boast a strong 12-8 record on the road this season and will be taking on a Los Angeles Lakers team that will be on the back end of a back-to-back set. Over the last 10 games, the Lakers have been just 27th in defensive rating and these conditions do not seem favorable for them to turn that around.
