Best NBA Bets Today: Odds & Picks for every game on Sunday, January 25

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. Not to be overshadowed by NFL action, the NBA brings us a sizable 8-game slate on Sunday. Both of the conference leaders are in action, as they are involved in cross-conference matchups. It will be up to the Sacramento Kings and the Toronto Raptors to try and peg them back.

As always, you can check out all of our NBA previews. But now, lets jump straight into my best bets for all of today’s games.

Sacramento Kings vs Detroit Pistons best bet: Under 225.5 (-110)

Over the last 10 games the Pistons have been by far the best team in the league in defensive rating. It has helped them hold 7 of their last 8 opponents to 105 points or fewer. With the Kings just 18th in pace during those 10 games, they probably won’t generate enough possessions to go over that number. If they struggle scoring to that extent, the under looks to have excellent value.

Denver Nuggets vs Memphis Grizzlies best bet: Over 224.5 (-110)

Both teams have extensive injury reports heading into this game, which could see them throw out young lineups onto the floor. Over the last 10 games the Grizzlies are already in the top 10 of the league in pace while also being on the bottom 10 in defensive rating. That combination should ensure a high-scoring game.

Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves best bet: Moses Moody over 11.5 points (-120)

With the injury of Jonathan Kuminga following that of Jimmy Butler, another Warriors wing will need to step up and help with the scoring load. Moody has been doing that well in recent games already, managing 12 or more points in 5 of his last 6 games. He has been incredibly efficient from deep this month, too, making 45.6% of his 3-point attempts. With a larger role, he should turn that efficiency into a strong scoring night.

Dallas Mavericks vs Milwaukee Bucks best bet: Max Christie over 15.5 points (-115)

Another player who has been stepping up for an injury-plagued roster is Max Christie. He has scored 20 or more points in 4 straight games for the Mavericks and has been doing a lot of damage from deep too, making 43% of his 3-point attempts this month. Over the last 10 games the Bucks are 24th in defensive rating and 26th in opponent 3-pointers made so they should be a perfect opponent against whom Christie can keep his scoring run going.

New Orleans Pelicans vs San Antonio Spurs best bet: Victor Wembanyama over 3.5 blocks (+125)

When these sides met for the first time this season, Wembanyama managed an incredible 9 blocks. And while he has struggled to rack up blocks at the same rate since coming back from his injury, he did manage 5 rejections in his last outing. Over the last 10 games the Pelicans are leading the league in paint points, so look for them to continuously challenge the Frenchman down low — allowing him opportunities to swat them away.

Toronto Raptors vs Oklahoma City Thunder best bet: Raptors +11.5 (-110)

The Thunder are injury hit ahead of this game, with Isaiah Hartenstein, Jalen Williams, Alex Caruso and Ajay Mitchell all ruled out. They will be taking on a Raptors team that can exploit their weakness on the boards. The Thunder are dead last over the last 10 games in rebounding percentage, while the Raptors are in the top 10 of league in second-chance points. Those should help them stay competitive.

Miami Heat vs Phoenix Suns best bet: Heat +4.5 (-110)

Devin Booker has gone down injured for the Phoenix Suns and they lost their first game without him to the Atlanta Hawks. It leaves them with Dillon Brooks as the teams leading scorer, and the Heat should be well positioned to shut him down with Andrew Wiggins able to match up against him. Bam Adebayo also gives the visitors an advantage inside, so they should be more than competitive in this one.

Brooklyn Nets vs Los Angeles Clippers best bet: Clippers -8.5 (-110)

The Nets have struggled of late, winning just 1 of their last 10 games and losing 3 of their last 4 games by 9 or more points. The Clippers are opposite, with 8 wins out of their last 10 and ranking fifth in net offensive and defensive rating during that time. James Harden should be able to lead them to a dominant win at home.
