Best NBA Bets Today: Odds & Picks for every game on Wednesday, 17 December

Naz Reid of the Minnesota Timberwolves
Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. Last night the New York Knicks picked up their first trophy in decades as they overcame the San Antonio Spurs to win the NBA Cup. Now the focus can return to regular season action and we are being eased back into it, with 2 games on Wednesdays slate. In the Eastern Conference the Cleveland Cavaliers will be visiting the Chicago Bulls while out West, the Memphis Grizzlies take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

You can find our NBA previews here. But as always, check out my best bet selections for tonight’s action below.

Cavaliers vs Bulls best bet: Cavaliers -5.5 (-106)

The Bulls have been abysmal of late, winning just 2 of their last 10 games. Even that seems fortunate as during that stretch of games they are 29th in the league in net offensive and defensive rating. They will be welcoming a Cavaliers team that has a winning record on the road this season. They have also beaten the Bulls 5 straight times, each game decided by at at least a 5-point margin. On current form, the Bulls will struggle to end the streak.

Grizzlies vs Timberwolves best bet: Naz Reid over 2.5 made threes (+116)

Timberwolves forward Naz Reid has been on fire from beyond the arc lately. In December he has knocked down 44.9% of his 3-point attempts. He has hardly been shy about putting up shots too, averaging 8.2 three-point attempts per game this month. It is no surprise that he has hit the over on this line in 6 of his last 7 contests. Over the last 10 games the Grizzlies are 23rd in opponent 3-point percentage and should have issues slowing down his current roll.
