The late game on this Monday Night Football doubleheader brings us a lesser version of what was expected initially, now that Joe Burrow is on IR once again. Jake Browning will head to Mile High to take on the Denver Broncos (-7.5) after a real teeth-kicking from the Minnesota Vikings last week. The Broncos are 1-2, but the loss to the Colts in Week 2 is looking less depressing as the season unfolds. The Chargers game was still up for grabs late, and I’m seeing Denver finally getting a weaker opponent in what many will call a “get right “ game. Let’s break down my best Bengals vs Broncos player prop bet, while you can also check out our NFL picks for EVERY GAME this season along with our Bengals vs Broncos predictions for MNF.
Troy Franklin (DEN) over 3.5 receptions (-114)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing. 1u
Franklin has cemented himself as the clear WR2 on this Broncos offense. He’s played 83% and 79% of snaps over the last 2 weeks, including outsnapping Courtland Sutton in Week 2, to go along with being 2nd on the team (by a wide margin) in total targets (19); he’s also first in redzone targets (4). The matchup is an advantageous one for Franklin, according to PFF, as the Bengals are playing man coverage at a top-10 rate this season, and Franklin lands in the top 10 in Fantasy success for the season against man coverage. The 3rd-year receiver has a 28.6% target share against man coverage this season, which is more than WR1 Courtland Sutton. After a down week in Week 3, I’m buying the dip for Franklin to have a big game.
