After the Kansas City Chiefs thrashing of the Lamar Jackson-led Ravens two weeks ago, many thought the reigning AFC champions were back. That was far from the case. They blew a 14-0 lead to the Jaguars to fall to 2-3 and now find themselves as slight home favorites to the 4-1 Detroit Lions. Let’s dive into my best Lions vs Chiefs player prop bets for Week 6 on Sunday Night, while you can also find out all of our expert NFL picks for EVERY GAME in Week 6 and throughout the season!

I’m looking to build on my 8-1 player prop record on the season after a win last Sunday Night!

Lions vs Chiefs player prop bet: Isiah Pacheco Under 7.5 rush attempts (-110)

Odds available at BetMGM at time of publishing.

We will take advantage of the soft price BetMGM is offering on Isiah Pacheco under 7.5 rush attempts. Sharper books have this prop priced at -130 or worse, so if you can get money down on BetMGM or Bet365, take advantage of it. Let’s dive into why I’m fading the putrid Chiefs run game, specifically Pacheco.

Like we’re used to, Patrick Mahomes has had to do much of the heavy lifting for the Chiefs offense. His pass attempts line is at a whopping 37.5 attempts – the most on the slate. Not only is that due to Mahomes and the Chiefs playing from behind or in 1-score games, but also due to the inefficient run game with Kareem Hunt and Pacheco. The duo averages 4 yards per carry, while Mahomes, Hunt, and Pacheco all have a rushing yards line of fewer than 30 yards for Sunday Night.

The Lions look to be the best team in football, as they can control the game on the ground and through the air. If the Chiefs find themselves trailing early, it will likely be a game where Mahomes drops back 40+ times and looks to take off with his legs 4-6 times. Even with the Chiefs playing with a lead, Andy Reid has not shown trust in his run game.
