Texans vs Chiefs player prop bet: C.J. Stroud Under 34.5 Pass Attempts 34.5 Pass Attempts (-116)

C.J. Stroud did just enough for the Texans offense last week to secure an AFC South win against the then 8-3 Colts. Stroud completed 22 of 35 passes for 276 yards in his first game back since missing the last three with a concussion. Many questioned whether the Texans should turn back to Stroud after Davis Mills led the Texans to three straight wins, but Stroud answered the call and threw for his second-most yards in a game this season.

Sunday Night will look very different than what the Texans offense is used to. They’re not playing in a dome and will be competing against a strong Chiefs defense in below-freezing temperatures. Thankfully for Stroud, his defense can give the offense favorable field position, allowing them to play from ahead. Woody Marks has been extremely inefficient on the ground, but they continue to pound the rock. Add in Nick Chubb, who gives the Texans backfield a different look, and the rushing attempts pile up. They ran the ball 34 times last week, including icing the game with Woody Marks. Expected a heavy dose of the Texans run game to keep a loaded Chiefs offense off the field, resulting in Stroud throwing fewer than 35 passes.
