The Jets have their work cut out for them to get back in this series. They are down 2-1 to a Stars team that has been fantastic at home and will be hosting Game 4 in Dallas. Winnipeg will bring their best effort to avoid going home for Game 5 on the brink of elimination down 3-1. Dallas would like nothing more than to take the commanding series lead. This should be a great Game 4 with potentially the best efforts and most urgency we have seen thus far. If you are interested in tuning in and having some skin in the game, then check out my Jets vs Stars Same Game Parlay picks at +475 odds below. Dallas Stars -1.5 over Winnipeg Jets (+180)

A dominant 3rd period propelled the Stars to a convincing 5-2 win over the Jets in Game 3. With that, Dallas now has 4 wins in their 5 home games played in these playoffs. During the regular season, the Stars were 28-10-3 at home, which was good for 6th in the NHL among home teams. They are now 32-11-3 at home in 2024-25. That home-ice advantage held true in Game 3 and has a good chance to do so once again in Game 4. The Jets have now played 4 road games this postseason and have been held winless with a -15 goal differential. Winnipeg is losing on the road in these playoffs by an average score of 5.50-1.75.

Given the brutal road struggles of the Jets, the Stars may not even need their A-game to beat Winnipeg. That is, at least, if Winnipeg continues to spiral in road barns. While 4 games is not a large sample size, it is enough of a trend to be wary of taking the Jets in any capacity in this game, even the puck line. That is especially the case against a team like the Stars, who are already a juggernaut and even stronger on home ice.

Dallas wants to avoid going back to Winnipeg notched at 2-2 in this series with the Jets controlling home ice in what would then be a best of 3. The Stars are the more reliable team and have a favorable matchup against a team that has yet to be competitive in a road game in these playoffs. Until or unless either team proves otherwise, this one looks to be all Dallas.

Roope Hintz anytime goalscorer (+210)

The Stars’ shiny midseason acquisition, Mikko Rantanen, has rightfully had the spotlight in this postseason. But a big reason for Dallas’ success all season long and in these playoffs is their general depth. One of the most important players on the Stars is Rantanen’s top-line center, Roope Hintz. Hintz had 28 goals and 67 points in 76 games this season. With a full season, he very well could have tallied his 4th consecutive 30+ goal season. Nonetheless, Hintz is playing his top-line center role very effectively in this postseason.

Hintz has 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points in the 10 Stars games played in these playoffs. That would be impressive as is but is even more so considering his first-round matchup was against Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar, and his second-round matchup is against the President’s Trophy winners. Contributing in a playoff run is nothing new for Hintz, though. He has been on Stars teams that have made a Stanley Cup Final run, as well as consecutive Conference Finals runs. In 2023, he logged 10 goals and 24 points in the 19 games played before falling to Vegas in the Conference Finals. At any point, Hintz shares the ice with some combination of Rantanen, Mikael Granlund, Wyatt Johnston, Matt Duchene, Thomas Harley and more talented Stars players. He has a great chance to score again in a favorable matchup at home.
