We faded the Pirates a week ago in another NRSI and it worked out great, and they’re the target for today’s YRFI/NRFI/NRSI best bet. Both the Pirates and Marlins rank in the bottom 3 in runs scored in the 2nd inning among MLB teams. The Marlins’ bats are 1-29 lifetime against Mitch Keller. If this isn’t a perfect spot to get right for him, I don’t know what is. On the flip side, we have an equally struggling Sandy Alcantara. The law of averages would suggest that he is due more starts like his last one. Sandy finally looked like himself in his last outing and I’m expecting him to ride some of that momentum. These teams don’t have the deepest lineups so I like this 2nd inning to be a quick and painless 6 outs.
