There’s a full 15-game slate of MLB action to get excited for today with plenty of exciting series on Tuesday, June 24. Among the matchups on Tuesday’s docket are Rangers vs Orioles, Braves vs Mets on TBS, Mariners vs Twins, Cubs vs Cardinals and Phillies vs Astros. I really love this bet. Beyond the metrics of analyzing every game, we have a much more important stat. I have never lost a bet on my birthday and I don’t plan on it starting this year. Tarik Skubal is my favorite pitcher in the league and I expect my favorite player to come through and respect our coin on a day like this. Skubal is at home, where he pitches to the tune of a 1.88 ERA. I expect absolute domination from him as he looks to build on his Cy Young campaign from last year.
Pitching for the Athletics is Luis Severino, who has wild home/road splits. He will be pitching on the road, where he holds a 0.93 ERA. I expect him to help with our 3 outs needed in the 2nd inning. He has a great history against these Tigers batters. The NRSI alone is -170 so we need a nice reducer. I like the Tigers +2.5 on the alternate run line in any Skubal start, so that’s what I’m targeting to bring these odds down to a more digestible -127. Let’s stay hot on the diamond!
