We’re drinking some juice on this one, mainly because no reducers are sticking out to me. However, this bet has so much going for it that I like. Pittsburgh has failed to score in the 2nd Inning in 15 of their last 16 games, and they score the 2nd-fewest runs in the 2nd inning in MLB. Lance McCullers has been good on the road this year for Houston, not allowing a single earned run in 2 games away from Daikin Park.
Houston has failed to score in the 2nd inning in 10 of their last 11 games and they have to face Paul Skenes. Skenes is a wagon of all wagons so I’m confident he can take care of business for his 3 outs. This game has a total of 7.5, which is a good sign that it will be a pitchers’ duel. We have admittedly had some tough luck with these, but I believe that today is the day we turn that around and get another one in the win column. Let’s roll!
