1u – Astros/Brewers No Runs First Inning (-120 @ DK)

Yes, you are reading that correct. We have found a rare NRFI that I really like. Off first glance, you may see the two pitchers listed and scratch your head. The numbers don’t lie though, and this one has value. Where do we begin?

First off, both teams struggle to score in the 1st inning. Houston averages the least 1st inning runs and just lost Yordan Alvarez due to injury which should only make things harder on them. Milwaukee scores the 3rd least 1st inning runs at home. Neither team have been lighting it up to open games.

Secondly, although the pitchers aren’t box office names they have both enjoyed very nice years. Wesneski has only allowed one run in the 1st inning over his five starts. Patrick has only allowed one run and two hits over his 6 starts in the 1st inning.

The weather doesn’t project any high winds or any underlying reason the ball should see any extra carry here. These teams have both failed to score in the 1st inning of May so far and I think that should remain the case. I’m hoping for six easy outs and we will be on our way. Lets roll!
