We’ve got a full 15-game slate of MLB action to sink our teeth into today with plenty of exciting series on Tuesday, July 1. Among the matchups on Tuesday’s docket are Yankees vs Blue Jays in an afternoon game, along with Padres vs Phillies, Reds vs Red Sox, Giants vs Diamondbacks and Guardians vs Cubs on TBS. There are tons of ways you can wager on these matchups, but one of the quickest bets you can make is if a run will be scored in the first or second inning — YRFI or NRFI. There is value to be had in this market, and I’m looking to build on our 11-5 YRFI/NRFI run, so let’s dive in! You can also find out our expert MLB picks for EVERY GAME today, after our experts went 62-30 for +46.6 units last week!
YRFI/NRFI best bet: Angels vs Braves – YRFI (-130)
Odds available at Fanatics Sportsbook at time of publishing.
It is July which means we should begin to see a lot more YRFIs cash than NRFIs. As you all know, we see more homers when the weather gets warmer. This is a great game to target here with these pitchers on the mound. Pitching for Los Angeles is Tyler Anderson. The 35-year-old lefty will have his hands full with the immense talent that Atlanta possesses at the top of their lineup. Ronald Acuna, Austin Riley and Ozzie Albies all have great stats against Anderson. Speaking of Anderson, he has a brutal 6.26 road ERA and an even more disgusting 8.44 ERA in the first innings of games this year.
On the flip side, pitching for Atlanta is Didier Fuentes, who only has 2 starts in his young career but he has been getting lit up like the Fourth of July. He holds a 10.80 ERA, which is impressively bad. The Angels’ bats could surely score for us quickly here, meaning that they Atlanta bats may not even be needed. I really like this bet and believe we’ll see at least 1 run in the 1st inning. Let’s roll with a run to be scored as today’s YRFI/NRFI best bet.
