The MLS week continues on Saturday with six games taking place. Let’s breakdown each of the games so you can make the smart bets and make some money. It’s rivalry week so expect some fireworks in these MLS Free Soccer Picks games.
New York Red Bulls vs. New York City FC
These two teams have been pretty similar this season and most of the time when these two teams play, it’s quite the battle. The last few years New York City FC has been known as an offensive team, but this year they have really focused on the defense and it has had good results. At home in this game I would expect that they are going to try and lock down that defense again. In six of the last ten games they have given up one goal or less. This is going to be a defensive battle with not many goals, back the under.
DC United vs. Philadelphia Union
DC United has been struggling to score coming into this game and that has led to three of the last four games ending in losses. In this game they are without Wayne Rooney who is suspended because of a red card in the last match and that means I don’t think they will get a goal in this game. If you are comfortable laying -230 on the money line with the Union I would do that, but if not the Union -1.25 right around even is the play.
Montreal Impact vs. Toronto FC
The Montreal Impact made a coaching change this week and a big reason is because of the way the defense has been playing. They have been involved in a lot of high scoring games lately, but they aren’t resulting in wins. Over the last three games there has been a total of 20 goals in the Impact’s games. This is going to be an up and down game with neither team really interested in playing defense. Back the over to cash in this game.
Chicago Fire vs. New England Revolution
I still can’t figure out the Chicago Fire this year, and for that reason I am going to tell you to stay away from this game. The Revolution have played to two straight draws so I will take a chance with the draw sitting right around +265.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. San Jose Earthquakes
Another game I suggest you stay away from is this game, just because there really isn’t much value. The Whitecaps only have two wins on the road, and the Earthquakes have lost all three games (they were all on the road.) The Earthquakes are huge favorites in this game but any value is on the other side. Back the Whitecaps +1.75 but if you are going to bet it, I would make sure to bet it light.
Colorado Rapids vs. Real Salt Lake
Real Salt Lake -180 on the money line is looking like a real gift in this one, which does worry me a bit. The Rapids only have one win on the road all season, and over their last eight games overall, they only have two wins. Real Salt Lake has won three of the last four games with the only loss coming against LAFC. Back RSL to get the job done and if you want extra value, take them -1.
