We have a hot 9-game slate in the NBA on Wednesday night, which features an ESPN doubleheader of Lakers vs Cavaliers and Spurs vs Rockets. Among the other big games tonight are Magic vs Heat, Knicks vs Raptors, Hawks vs Celtics and Hornets vs Grizzlies. I’ve looked through every matchup and have picked out my best NBA player prop bets for Wednesday, January 28, targeting Bennedict Mathurin in Bulls vs Pacers. Let’s break it down, while you can also check out our expert NBA picks for every matchup throughout the season.
Best NBA player prop bet: Bennedict Mathurin (IND) over 1.5 threes made (-143)

I will admit that this is juicer than I normally like. I really like this one though. Mathurin just returned from injury 2 nights ago and didn’t show much rust at all. He only took 3 shots from deep but he made 2 of them. I expect a significant jump in volume in his 2nd game back. That first game was against a pest in Dyson Daniels and in limited minutes. I think he should see between 28 and 32 minutes against Chicago, assuming no blowout happens.
Speaking of Chicago, he loves playing the Bulls. In the 2 games against them this year, he has scored 28 and 19 points. He is averaging 4.5 made threes against them and both games saw 10+ attempts from deep. If he sees that same volume, he just needs to shoot 20% to bring us home, so we’re not asking for him to reinvent the wheel here. The Bulls are in the bottom 10 in facing three-point attempts to the shooting guard position, and Mathurin should help relieve duties from Pascal Siakam and balance the Indiana attack a little more. Let’s roll!
