Entering his 5th season in the league, this was supposed to be the season Evan Mobley took off into All-NBA conversations. Unfortunately, that’s been far from the case. He’s regressed as a 3-point shooter, while also shooting 60% from the foul line on over 4 trips per game. But lately, with Jarrett Allen sidelined, Mobley has seen his numbers jump across the board. In 9 games in March, Mobley is averaging 21/9.5/2. Tonight, against the Pelicans, we’re backing his assists line of over 2.5.
The Pelicans have been one of the better stories in the NBA post-All-Star Break. Dejounte Murray has given them hope for next year, even though they’re giving their pick away to the Hawks. I expect this game between the Cavaliers and Pelicans to be competitive – Giving Mobley a floor of 32 minutes.
