Thursday night delivers us an 8-game slate from the NBA. The featured game will be shown live on NBA TV as the Orlando Magic take on the Charlotte Hornets. Both teams are still in the race for the 6th seed, which would help them stay out of the NBA Play-in Tournament. A loss here for the hosting Hornets would all but eliminate them from that race. You can find out all of our expert NBA picks for tonight, but first, let’s dive into my best NBA player prop bets for Thursday, March 19.

Best NBA player prop bet: Jalen Duren (DET) over 23.5 points (-110)
Over the last 5 games the Washington Wizards have been getting burned by centers. All of Bam Adebayo, Kristaps Porzingis, Neemias Queta, Wendell Carter Jr. and Jalen Duren managed to exceed their season average in points. On top of that, 4 of them managed to score 24 or more point, including Duren. The Pistons center managed 36 points when the sides met earlier this week. The Wizards have not shown any signs of improving their rim protection. Over the last 10 games they have allowed nearly 4 more paint points than any other team in the league. While Duren will not have Cade Cunningham to feed him the ball in this contest, he should pick up some of the point guards shots here. Will give him a great chance to dominate inside.

NBA player prop bet: Kel’el Ware (MIA) under 9.5 rebounds (+105)
Kel’el Ware has had some issues rebounding the ball of late. Over the last 5 games he has pulled down double-digit rebounds on just 2 occasions. His opponents tonight are the Los Angeles Lakers, who have been incredibly efficient recently. Over the last 10 games they are 4th in true shooting percentage which could limit rebounding opportunities for the Heat. Ware struggled in his first meeting against them too, with 4 rebounds in 12 minutes. With his opponents tending to go small, it could mean that the Heat will try and match them instead of running Ware along with Adebayo. With the center in fine form, it would impact Ware’s minutes more here.

NBA player prop pick: Ace Bailey (UTA) over 2.5 made threes (+110)
In recent games Ace Bailey has been getting the green light from the Utah Jazz. That should be the case tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks too, with Keyonte George out. That should mean more shots for the rookie. He is already averaging 7.7 3-point attempts per game this month, knocking down 3.4 per game on 44.4% shooting. If he stays this aggressive from deep, this line should provide terrific value. Over the last 10 games no team in the league has given up more 3-point attempts to opponents than the Bucks. With them also allowing teams to make 38.9% of those shots, they should be a great opponent for Bailey to do damage from deep against.
