NBA action continues on Thursday with a 7-game slate for us to enjoy, as the season edges closer to both the trade deadline and the All-Star weekend. The top teams in both conferences are in action tonight, with the battle out west being one to look out for in particular. Anthony Edwards with be facing off against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in what should be an entertaining matchup. Be sure to check out our expert NBA previews for all of action on Thursday. But first, don’t miss my favorite player props for this exciting slate.
Best NBA player prop bet: Jonas Valanciunas (DEN) over 27.5 points + rebounds (-106)
With Nikola Jokic remaining out for the Nuggets, it means that Jonas Valanciunas should play a major role in this contest. In his last game he showed just what he is capable of, with a 16-point and 16-rebound performance against the Detroit Pistons. He is now taking on a Brooklyn Nets team that is 26th in true shooting percentage and 27th in rebounding percentage over the last 10 games. Expect him to dominate the glass as a result. And with him having a massive weight advantage over Nic Claxton in the paint, he should have no trouble backing his way down to the rim. With his great shooting touch around the basket, there will be no shortage of points for him here too. Expect a line similar to what he had against the Pistons.

NBA player prop bet: Zach LaVine (SAC) over 2.5 made threes (+110)
It is now 2 straight games in which Zach LaVine has been able to knock down 2 3-pointers, having hit the over on this line in 6 previous game before that. Considering he is still shooting at a 43.3% clip from beyond the arc in January, expect him to get back to that level soon. This game against the 76ers could present a good opportunity. Over the last 10 games they are down in 23rd in opponent 3-point percentage and 24th in opponent 3-point makes per games. Roughly half of his attempts this month come from 3-point range and against an opponent that has been leaking points from there, I expect him to have a very green light to let it fly.

NBA player prop bet: Kyshawn George (WSH) over 1.5 steals (+126)
Washington Wizards guard has been on a good defensive run of late, recording 2 or more steals in 3 of his last 4 games. He will now have the chance to improve on that streak as he takes on a Milwaukee Bucks team still getting used to playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo. The team does not have a natural point guard either, with Ryan Rollins stepping up and assuming playmaking responsibilities. Against the Wizards this season he has averaged 2.7 turnovers per game, and I expect George to have success picking off some of his passing attempts. Over the last 10 games, the Bucks are giving up 8.2 steals per game and George is the one that is likely to benefit from this.
