NBA Prop Bets Today: Paul George and Cameron Johnson amongst best NBA Player Props for Monday

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. With March Madness concluding today, the NBA has gone easy with it’s slate. They are bringing us just 5 games but among them we shall see several contenders. The Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs and Denver Nuggets are all in action. With playoff position still being contested, expect maximum effort from these teams tonight.

You can find all of our NBA previews here. But first, check out my favorite player props for Monday below.

Daniss Jenkins (DET) 2+ made threes (-120)

With Cade Cunningham remaining out, Daniss Jenkins looks set to continue playing extensive playing time for the Pistons. Over the last 10 games he has been averaging over 35 minutes per contest, giving him plenty of time to make use of his 43.8% shooting from deep during that stretch. He has made 2 or more 3-pointers in a game in each of his last 3 contests and that should not change against the Orlando Magic tonight. His opponents are average when it comes to defending the perimeter, ranking 18th in opponent 3-point percentage and 14th in makes over the last 10 games. With the status of Duncan Robinson also uncertain ahead of this game, Jenkins could be the main perimeter threat for the visitors.

Paul George (PHI) over 17.5 points (-105)

Over his last 6 outings Paul George has been winding back the years, averaging 25.8 points per game. He has been doing that on 50% shooting from the field and 44.1% shooting from beyond the arc. It is no surprise that he was able to clear the over on this line in each of the contests. During that run he has had double-digit 3-point attempts on 4 occasions. Expect more of the same here as he looks to stay out of reach for Victor Wembanyama. With the accuracy he has been attacking with from there, it should set him up perfectly to hit the over on this line once more. After all, the Spurs are 28th in opponent attempts per game from there over the last 10 contests. George has enough in his offensive arsenal to get the rest of the points for this to come in.

Cameron Johnson (DEN) 3+ made threes (+160)

Cameron Johnson has been playing his role perfectly as a floor spacer for the Denver Nuggets. He finished off last month shooting 45.2% from beyond the arc, and has come out even hotter to start April. An encouraging sign is that the Nuggets seem to have started ramping up his minutes, with the forward playing 35 and 39 in his last 2 games after not reaching 30 in his previous 3 prior. The last time he took on the Portland Trail Blazers he was able to knock down 5 of 7 of his attempts from deep. With Nikola Jokic due to continue being the focus for opponents, look for Johnson to continue to thrive as a relief option. In the minutes he has been getting lately, it should be enough time for him to get them attempts he requires.
