NBA Prop Bets Today: Julius Randle and Domantas Sabonis amongst best NBA Player Props for Monday

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA starts the week by bringing us an exciting 9-game slate with teams jostling for position early on, looking to build momentum to start the season. Teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to ride out the injuries to their star players and not fall too far behind the automatic playoff spots. You can find out our expert NBA picks for EVERY GAME here, but for now, let’s break down my best NBA player prop bets for Monday, November 3.

Julius Randle (MIN) over 24.5 points (-130)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

With Anthony Edwards missing time due to injury, Julius Randle has taken the wheel of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he has been delivering strong performances. The forward has managed at least 25 points in 4 of his last 5 games, with a 24-point effort in the other. He should have similar success tonight, going up against the Brooklyn Nets, who deploy Michael Porter Jr. at the 4 position. The Nets forward gives up a major bulk advantage to the Timberwolves man and should be bullied down in the low post by Randle. The Nets have ranked 27th so far this season in opponent points in the paint, and the Timberwolves’ star should be primed to take full advantage.

Domantas Sabonis (SAC) to record 12+ rebounds (+112)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

It seems strange to find the rebounding line this low for Domantas Sabonis, a man who led the NBA in rebounds per game last season with an average of 13.9. He is back to that level this year too, despite dealing with an early-season hamstring injury, still pulling down 13.8 boards per game. He has not managed fewer than 11 in any of the games he has played in so far. While going up against the size of Nikola Jokic and Jonas Valanciunas will not be an easy task, it is one Sabonis has been able to overcome before. Last season, the Lithuanian averaged 15 rebounds per game against the Denver Nuggets, so it is hard to see a major drop of from him in this contest.

Donovan Clingan (POR) over 9.5 rebounds (-132)

Odds available at bet365 at time of publishing.

Portland Trail Blazers sophomore Donovan Clingan is quickly establishing himself as a dominant rebounding force in the NBA. He averages 10 rebounds per game and has hit double-digit boards in 3 of his last 4 games. That includes a 14-rebound effort against tonight’s opponents, the Los Angeles Lakers. DeAndre Ayton is expected to be back, but the Lakers center is offering little in terms of floor spacing, allowing Clingan to remain in great rebounding position. The Lakers are also on the 2nd night of a back-to-back set, so expect the pace to slow in this one, which should work in Clingan’s favor, allowing him to get involved in rebounding on both ends of the floor. That should be enough for him to reach double-digits in this category once more.
