When the NFL created the primetime schedule for this season, there is no possible way they could have guessed we would be watching Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco battling it out in primetime for Week 7. However, that is what we have to look forward to on Thursday Night Football. The Steelers, coming off a bye week, head to Cincinnati to take on the struggling Bengals (+5.5). Flacco appeared to be a slight upgrade over Jake Browning last week, putting up 18 points against one of the better defenses in the league. I actually think the Bengals are live underdog tonight and could make this game interesting at home in a divisional matchup. Let’s break down our best Steelers vs Bengals player prop bets for TNF, while you can find out our expert NFL picks for every Week 7 matchup.

Best Steelers vs Bengals player prop bet: Tee Higgins (CIN) over 45.5 receiving yards (-114)

Tee Higgins stands to have the most to gain from Flacco’s presence under center, in my opinion. Ja’Marr Chase was being force-fed targets from Browning to minimal success outside of garbage time, but Flacco has shown he still has the ability to spread it around. Higgins’ 8 targets last week were a season high, finishing with 5 receptions and 62 yards. He was over this line in both games last season against Pittsburgh and in 4 of his last 5. The Steelers rank top 10 in terms of man coverage rate and that is Higgins’ bread and butter — he leads the Bengals in fantasy points per route run against man defense, according to PFF. This is a buy-low spot for Higgins with Flacco’s uncertainty, and I see it as an upgrade for Higgins’ stock.
