Saturday night is a big night for NBA Cup action, with both of the semifinals taking place. The second of the nights games will see the Western Conference teams in action, as the San Antonio Spurs take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. The game will be played on neutral ground in Las Vegas which should help level the playing field. With Victor Wembanyama set to potentially return, this could be a competitive game.
Check out all of our NBA Cup previews. But for now, here is my Spurs vs Thunder Same Game Parlay.
Isaiah Hartenstein Over 2.5 assists (-102)
Chet Holmgren Over 1.5 made threes (+116)
Harrison Barnes Over 10.5 points (-106)
Spurs vs Thunder Same Game Parlay odds: +628
Isaiah Hartenstein Over 2.5 assists (-102)
Isaiah Hartenstein has now established himself as one of the best passing centers in the NBA. He is coming into tonight’s contest having recorded 3 or more assists in 5 of his last 6 games. The last time he took on the Spurs, he was also able to record 6 assists. With Wembanyama potentially back tonight, expect the Thunder center to try and do more of his work outside the paint. Hartenstein will have a roll to play in dribble handoff situations which should help him rack up assists. With the shot blocking threat that the Spurs Frenchman is, the Thunder center is also more likely to kick the ball out to shooters than force up shots in the paint. With the Thunder 5th in 3-point percentage this season, they will be well positioned to convert.
Chet Holmgren Over 1.5 made threes (+116)
One of the players that Hartenstein could pick out on the perimeter is Chet Holmgren. The Thunders star was perfect from beyond the arc in his last game, making all 4 of his attempts against the Phoenix Suns. He is now making an impressive 39.5% of his 3-point attempts on the season and will be play a key part as a floor spacer here. The Spurs have had issues defending the perimeter this season too by allowing opponents to make 38.2% of their attempts, ranking them 26th in the league in that category. Expect Holmgren to test them and see if he can keep his hot shooting going from the other night.
Harrison Barnes over 10.5 points (-106)
Spurs forward Harrison Barnes has been a model of consistency for his team and has so far been hot in December. He has his the over on this line in 5 of his last 6 games. Considering he is making 45.9% of his 3-point attempts this month, it is no surprise that he has hit at least 4 3-pointers in 3 of those games. The return of Wembanyama will mean there is another person on the Spurs roster that will command double teams. An experienced veteran like Barnes should be able to find the space to get open looks. The Thunder themselves are just 20th in opponent 3-point percentage this season so are unlikely to be able to impact one of the biggest weapons in Barnes’ arsenal.
