Game 1 between Timberwolves and Thunder showcased a slow 1st half from the Thunder which then turned into a 30-point 2nd-half differential. The talent discrepancy was on full display, as the Thunder were able to go deep into their bench while the Timberwolves’ bench struggled mightily. Let’s dive into my best Timberwolves vs Thunder player prop bets for tonight’s Game 2. You can also find out our NBA picks for Timberwolves vs Thunder and every game throughout the Conference Finals.

Best Timberwolves vs Thunder player prop bet: Mike Conley (MIN) Under 13.5 points+rebounds+assists (-110)

Odds available at BetMGM at time of publishing

We successfully faded Mike Conley in Game 1, cashing in on his assists at under 3.5. He recorded his 3rd assist early into the 3rd quarter but saw just 3 minutes in the 4th quarter and wasn’t in the closing lineup when the Timberwolves tried everything to come back. Donte DiVincenzo filled in Conley’s role but shot 3-14 from the field, including 1-5 in the 4th quarter.

We’re fading Conley in this spot due to the Thunder looking to hunt him down on defense and a minutes projection of fewer than 23. Donte DiVincenzo and Nickeil Alexander-Walker are much better options for the Timberwolves, especially on the defensive end. From a price standpoint, we’re getting a slight discrepancy on BetMGM and ESPN at -110 — meanwhile, FanDuel and DraftKings, which are much sharper books, has Conley under 13.5 PRA at -125.

Best Timberwolves vs Thunder player prop bet: Donte DiVincenzo (MIN) Over 9.5 points (-110)

Odds available at BetMGM Sportsbook at time of publishing

Our 2 NBA player props correlate nicely. As we dove in above, Donte DiVincenzo had one of his worst postseason shooting games in Game 1. It’s been a difficult shooting stretch for the former Knick, as he’s shooting 31% from the field and 25% from three-point range. However, DiVincenzo played 30 minutes in Game 1 and is another playmaker beside Anthony Edwards, which is much needed if he’s going to get blitzed on ball screens.
