The Conference semifinals of the NBA Playoffs has started with a flood of shocks, with road teams currently 5-0 and the Pacers holding a 2-0 lead over the East’s #1 seed Cavaliers. Boston gave up a huge lead to fall to New York in the 2nd half and will look to level things up in Knicks vs Celtics tonight, while the nightcap sees OKC looking to get back on track when they host Denver in Nuggets vs Thunder. I’ve picked out my best NBA player prop bet from Knicks vs Celtics, targeting Karl-Anthony Towns, so let’s dive in! I’m 9-2 on NBA player props for Pickswise this season, so let’s stay hot tonight. Best NBA Player Prop Bet: Karl-Anthony Towns (NY) over 3.5 first-quarter points (-140)
Odds available at Fanatics Sportsbook at time of publishing.
This line is a massive overreaction. Karl-Anthony Towns had 2 quick fouls in Game 1 but still scored 6 points in the first quarter and came back in the game to close the end of it. New York needs KAT to take some of the load off of Jalen Brunson, and I think asking for 2 buckets early on is completely reasonable. KAT averaged 4.75 first-quarter points against Boston in the regular season and if anything should have a longer opening-quarter leash due to the severity of these games in the 2nd round. I think this line is much too low. This game has a double-digit spread so I love only worrying about the first quarter. Let’s stay hot in the NBA and take Towns to start tonight’s game sharp!
